The Walt Disney Concert Hall is one of Los Angeles' most striking and iconic architectural landmarks. Designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry, the building’s futuristic, stainless-steel curves immediately capture your attention. Even just walking around the exterior feels like an experience, as the flowing lines and reflective surfaces change with the light and angle.

Located in downtown LA, the concert hall is home to the Los Angeles Philharmonic and is celebrated not only for its design but also for its world-class acoustics. While I didn’t attend a performance, simply seeing the building up close is inspiring. There are also free walking tours available that allow visitors to explore parts of the interior and rooftop garden.

The Walt Disney Concert Hall perfectly blends artistic vision with architectural brilliance. It’s a must-see for anyone visiting downtown Los Angeles, whether you’re a fan of music, architecture, or simply looking for an amazing photo spot.

Very nice concert hall!! I visited a day where there was nothing going on, and it was so beautiful. There was barely anyone there so the tour was so nice and relaxing. They have a beautiful garden with nice decorations, plants, and even seating areas.

The view from outside is also very beautiful! You can see the nice buildings, and a view of the city. The architecture is absolutely stunning. Nothing bad to say about this concert hall! Hopefully i’ll have the opportunity to come one day when there is a show!!

Amazing venue. The acoustics in this building are fantastic. We were able to hear well from far back in the balcony. Highly recommend seeing the Los Angeles Philharmonic

What an amazing visit! To be honest, I saw in Google this building and looked quite interesting on pictures, but as it is a concert hall we didn’t make much of it. We went to Downtown LA on a slow weekend and were pleasantly surprised that you can tour the building for free.
You can ask for audio guides of access them on your phone with the QR codes located on every relevant spot.
If you are interested in architecture, this might be a good place to stop, if not probably enjoy more the outside garden and the gorgeous facades of the building.
The staff both in the theater and in the store are very helpful and friendly.

My experience of Gershwin & Strauss/director Teddy Abrams at Walt Disney Concert Hall. Amazing performance and acoustics. The standing ovations reflected such enjoyment of such a skilled performance. One can appreciate the orchestra, directing, and arrangement of all instruments, which were all heard. This live presentation hits your soul like no speaker system can emulate. But, in contrast, the piano could have used a bit of a microphone boost (that would ruin the function of the room, right?) especially when Jean-Yves Thibaudet did his amazing solo -- it just seemed distant from where I sat. Perhaps the seating location might play a part. And speaking of seating; It started off okay but after sitting and attentively watching in a forced erect posture, you don't realize the discomfort until you are about 30 minutes into the performance with intermission a distant 17 minutes away - yes, I started counting the minutes at this point. Now this was a seat in the Front Terrace Row H/Seat 158. Suddenly, my legs were asleep and the polite mindset that involved angling my legs so that my knees would not connect with the person in front of me. The goal was achieved but I'm now sitting on an angle as if wearing a skirt. I struggled and enjoyed at the same time while anticipating intermission as a means to stretch my legs. I will need to do this again and upgrade my seat to a different area to maybe get a better comfort/soundwise perspective.

The LA Phil is incredible. I was moved to tears. Acoustics are mind blowing. Gorgeous views of the city from the terrace.

Parking was either full or too congested so I had to park at the Conrad for $62 if I didn’t have dinner there, which “validated” parking by reducing it to $20 for the 5 hours I was there

It was a bit disappointing that the hall wasn’t open when we visited, but we still got to explore the Blue Ribbon Garden and some of the areas of the building that were accessible. The architecture is stunning, and even just walking around was a treat!

I hope to come back someday to experience a concert here and enjoy the amazing acoustics and atmosphere. It’s definitely a place worth visiting, even if just to admire its beauty from the outside.
