I got my first massage from Mason today. First of all, I was able to secure the appointment the same day which was very comforting. Mason was gentle and also effective. I felt very relaxed and also gently sleepy after my massage. I am very thankful for his magical and healing touch. I am looking forward to come back. It has been 10+ years since my last facial and what a comeback today was! The owner took my call and set me up quickly and thoroughly with my therapist. My experience was SPLENDID from the booking until the end of my appointment. The space is beautiful; my treatment was incredibly relaxing - I dozed off several times-and my skin feels and looks great. The gentle facial massage , shoulder and arm massage left me in a more relaxed state than I’ve felt in a while. This place is a gem in a beautiful part of town. Thank you!!!!

I cannot recommend JR more! He approaches massage with such an educated whole body approach that really works. He’ll do stretches, or release tension behind my arms that I didn’t realize was causing my neck pain - it’s like seeing a chiropractor without any risk. I always feel incredibly relaxed AND have my issues resolved after seeing him! And he’s super kind and personable - I sometimes struggle to voice my preferences for pressure during massages (recovering people-pleasure here!) and he is excellent at checking in, as well as super responsive if something changes throughout.

In-symmetry itself is also super easy to book (and reschedule, because working parent life is real), and the space is lovely. I’ve been coming here for years! The owner has always been super responsive if there are issues, like a last minute illness or scheduling miscommunication.

Parking can be tough, but there’s a bike loop right out front. And sometimes I stroll over to Tartine Manufactory afterwards for a post-massage bliss lunch.

I was having an awful TMJ flare up this month and could barely eat/was in severe pain. I got two TMJ massages from Candace, and she made a world of difference with her wonderful massages and advice. I’m feeling so great again, and I had the best experience at In-Symmetry. Would highly recommend for anyone suffering with TMJ.

I had a very unique experience today while getting a massage. Gayle was my therapist and while they were highly professional they did not listen to my concerns to lower the pressure of the massage. I tried to bear through it at first but after a while the cumulative deep pressure mixed with some bad sports injuries I couldn’t take the pain anymore. I left in tears and not relaxed. Gayle mentioned that a lot of their clients cry during massages. I just hope no one has the experience I did.
