I ordered a medium cafe latte and large coffee with 2 shots of espresso, at a cost of $16.80!! That's outrageously overpriced! The two shots were almost $5.00. My latte was watery and poor at best. I never take the time to write reviews, but just had to today. Service was adequate at best also. We love Bridgeport, but won't be coming back to 1881.

It's cute and they make very good espresso (by Bridgeport standards according to the friendly barista). Very pleasant, would go again, but don't come here if you're looking for a quick in-and-out!

The barista pulled my shots and then ran to the back to grab iced coffee, left them sitting there for a while. When I tried asking her to pull me new shots and pour them on hot water not to dump water on the top, she just put water in and put the old shots on it!!! It tasted so gross and weak. My aunts cold brew coffee had no ice; we had to stop and get some. The gal was nice but the coffee was sub-par. She was young so maybe just not well training on coffee.

Nice place, smallish, places to sit, friendly staff. Closes for winter starting around Nov 1st.

I don't drink coffee, though the person I was with said it was good. No coco or tea....that I saw.

Absolutely marvelous place for a coffee stop. A must if you come to Bridgeport. You can get there a better iced coffee than at Starbucks!

I had a very good espresso drink in this cafe, located in an historic building right along 395. I will return next year for certain.
