We went on the hike in December and it was free and very easy! Our cat loved sniffing the hot springs and there were some swimmers when we went by because the water felt great, but I didn’t bring a swimsuit. Parking was very easy in the middle of the week.

Found this place on the map as we were driving from Yosemite to Lake Tahoe and thought it would be really really cool stop. Pictures from years ago are deceiving…we went July 2024 and there are only three little Hot Springs to the right of the bathrooms up the hill and that was all that we found. We walked all around the entreats looking for more. Go to the 3 pools & walk back the way you came to save yourself a long walk for nothing. All of them were super hot. One was bearable enough to get in for a little bit, big enough for 2-3 people. They were beautiful along with a great view! Not busy for a mid Friday summer afternoon. A couple was leaving when we got there & as we were getting to our car another couple was searching for the hot springs. Short dirt road to get there off the Main street. Worth a quick stop!

Boy has it changed since the last time I was there. The large pool is closed and they were not very warm.

It's a place where water vapor rises, not only because of the surrounding scenery where the snow is piled up, but the temperature of the water is high, so I blocked the waterway flowing into towels and stones and made it a desolate place. It's right to preserve nature as it is, and if the temperature of the water is hot, you don't have to go to a hot spring. Why do you block the waterway and change the environment to the beautiful nature?
It's a natural hot spring water with a very good temperature for hot springs, and it's a bedrock leach that has sulfur but is mixed with a lot of lime. The float looks very dirty by blocking the waterway, but it's good ingredients for the body. If you lean on the wall where the hot spring water is flowing in, you will get burned, so be careful. I took wine and sat on a hot spring mule and took a sit bath, drinking wine and enjoying nature. Highly recommended, but it will be difficult to visit for a few days after it snows.

Short trek up a dirt road, maybe a mile long to a parking area. From there it's an even shorter hike to the hot pools. Water was clean and hot. Highly recommend even tho the locals say it's overrated.

I have been wanting to go for over 2 years. And my dream came true when my friend Ryan out of the blue one morning told me we were going! It was sketchy weather but glad we made the trip.
Obviously, the snow and below freezing temps made it so the hot springs pools were not very hot... I like my baths hotter than these were which overall made it more on the cold side. But we had the whole area to ourselves and it was amazing!!

Beautiful place, hot springs are nice but not too hot. Still great hiking and a healing experience. The really hot one people are talking about in the parking lot has been closed. It’s not as hot as the closure notice says so maybe one day they’ll open it back up.
