Generally I'm not picky about motels when doing road travel. Just a "hot & cot" is all I generally need. But this place current even meet my standards. Has that typical musty smell that many older roadside motels have. TV was so old and could barely watch half the cable channels due to interference of Sun's kind. Sheets were old and had stains.
Staff was nice and accommodating. And given I checked in at 2:30 in the morning and was too tired, I didn't bother reporting my problems. Or else I'm sure they would have been promptly taken care of. Bathroom was also a plus and why this place didn't get a 1-star review

The folks running this place are truly good people. They offered me food on Easter in case I hadn't eaten. I'm traveling the US on bicycle and this was by far, my FAVORITE place I've stayed. No nonsense awesome lodgings. I can't say enough good things about this motel!

The family who runs this place are all SO KIND ! VERY WELCOMING, ACCOMMODATING !! No frills, and if you are bougie, you may not appreciate it here, but that's your loss! There's nothing fancy, but if you like a safe, quiet, and family friendly environment, this is the spot! Great FAMILY!! I cannot stress this enough!

(Also, to the other reviewers who are complaining of "bugs" , I would just like to remind everyone you're in the rural south, on the Mississippi River Delta. Bugshapoen.get over it! There's no bed bugs or anything like that, so why are y'all blaming these wonderful folks for mother nature? Petty!)

I was in a room with a toilet that didn't flush properly. This place is so heavily dated its not even funny or endearing.

Good if you need to get off the road bc you cant stay awake. Otherwise, pass.

The price waa to high for the kind of accommodations I can see paying around $45.00 but not $70.00, had several problems with our room. But I do have to say the lady that was running this place were super nice she apologized for everything and tried to help resolve the sistuation the best she could, but in all honesty we should get some money back. I dont expext luxury in a hotel like this, but still!!

Granted it was nice to have a bed to sleep on for tge night. The room was hot even with the a.c. on. Mosquitoes all inside the room. Toilet was broken. No towels. But check in they were friendly!

Outside and office looks really sketchy but rooms were decent and clean, with 42 in flat screen tv. Overall quite a good deal for the price. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Me and my cousins got a room there lady said it was nice but what she didn’t say was there was no hot water the water was dirty ask to be moved to another room only got half our money back would recommend not staying there thinking about calling the health department this place should not be on the map.
