Point of Rocks RV Campground in Prescott is a true hidden gem, nestled among the breathtaking granite rock formations of the Granite Dells. A private trail winds directly through the Dells, leading to the scenic shores of Watson Lake—an unforgettable experience. Located just minutes from historic downtown Prescott, the campground offers a peaceful, nature-filled retreat with all the convenience of nearby shops and attractions. The RV sites are clean and well-kept, the staff is warm and welcoming, and the setting is nothing short of serene. Love the personalized welcoming packets with park information and directions. We had a great stay here. Loved the hiking trails and the over all location. We come to this area yearly for our kids soccer tournament. Their games on sundays are always up in the air on times. This is the only place we have stayed at that charged us for an entire extra night stay when asked if there was anyone checking in after us to see if we could extend our checkout times just a little longer. I also understand it’s their policy it’s just hard when we travel for youth sports and it all depends on brackets. We typically never know what times we are playing on Sunday until that. If you are a traveling for sports, I would keep that in mind while staying here. There are some other places around that are little more understanding and know you aren’t not just trying to take advantage of a late check out.

We had a great time camping at Point of Rocks. Our campsite was nice. The trail to Watson Lake right off the campsite was very nice and super convenient. The lake is beautiful! It reminds me of the Alabama Hills with water! So pretty! We had a Bald Egale flying over our heads too!
The grounds keeper, Rich was super sweet and very helpful.
The bathroom , though a bit on the older side were very clean and warm. The water pressure and temp in the shower was perfect!
Thank you!!

Great place to stay!! Walking distance to great hikes around Watson lake and Willow lake. Our site was on the hill with great views. Like many of the RV places, the sites are very close to each other, so we've learned thats the norm in some RV PARKS.

We were in the back (#54) and things were pretty nice. We did walks to Watson park multiple times a day. We did the whole lake loop. MTB trails that were marked blue were much easier than we are used to in Colorado or that we found in Cottonwood or Flagstaff. We did Pioneer park and headwaters. Target and REI were about 15 minutes away, town just a bit longer. There are a lot of rules make sure you read the website before committing. We happened to hit a colder and windier week so we did NOT get to paddleboard. When booking be careful not to book by sites 68-74 which over look the road and have the noises to go with that. We did not walk the front loop but I would also be worried about road noise.

Perimeter sites are very nice!
Very short home to beautiful Watson lake. Just wish the wifi streamed... But I guess there could be bandwidth issues

This is our very favorite place to stay in the area. The natural beauty of this camp ground can't be beat! My husband and I try to visit for a week of hiking and exploring every year. The many trail choices right out of the park are so fabulous. My hubby is not as much of a hiker as I am, so it makes it easy for me to either just hike from the park or drive a short distance to other nearby trails on my own while he relaxes. We also love just relaxing outside our coach and taking in the beauty and peacefulness of the park. When we get bored with that it's only a short drive to shopping or downtown Prescott for entertainment and good eats. This year we made sure to watch the fabulous Veterans Day Parade at the Court House.

We always marvel at how well run and managed this RV park is. We have not had any problems reaching staff during business hours to discuss arrangements. While they have contactless check-in, the staff is happy during office hours to meet and assist you with anything you need. I really appreciate that they have such great information on their website of activities in the area. It was very thoughtful to make this info easily available. We have met owners and staff during our stays while they performed work in the park and they are very pleasant, friendly and are dedicated to providing a good experience for all guests.
