Not sure why some reviews are trashing this place. The food is very good, Käsespatzen (Spätzle with cheese and onions) are just like I had them back home in Bavaria. Homemade also the Kraut, simply delicious. Weihenstephaner Helles vom Fass (Lager from close to my hometown on tap) Waiters are running a marathon and of course a bit of patience is all u have to bring when going there. Amazing lake view included. And we will be back for sure!

The view is the only thing this place has going for it. We genuinely used to love coming here, but the place has declined over the past few years. They were not busy. The waiter acted like we were a bother. We asked for straws, and it took 15 minutes to get them, and he placed them down unwrapped on the dirty picnic table. We got appetizers to split because I can't eat much due to Health concerns. My friends got entrees. They charged us for a split plate, and I simply had 2 fries off of my friends plate. We ordered the salmon special, and it was not fully cooked. They would not take it off the bill and only offered to reheat it when the manager came out. The owner manager Jeff was extremely rude despite us originally being kind. Needless to say we will not be going back. I would recommend packing a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and walking the lake before dining here.

I ordered myself the breakfast Burger medium rare and it came rare and the coffee they state was Starbucks but it tasted like Star butt, literally it was the worst coffee I've ever had. The service was mediocre at best and when I got my wonderful table next to the window overlooking the lake I was told that my party wasn't large enough to enjoy such views. There was also a $6 charge if I wanted to eat alone with my companion who just ordered a Starbutt coffee.

Great views, great drafts, superb service and amazing food! Ordered the Lot'o'brat, mixed Bratwurst, Kielbasa and a delicious jalapeno sausage! Incredible pretzel roll and potato salad. Pops said he hasn't had a brat this good since Munich! 10/10

Food was absolutely top tier. Service was great, and the views of the lake and hummingbirds really adds to the ambiance. Don't forget to ask about what type of sausage servers like, they might give you an option that's not on the menu and it's fantastic. German pancakes are great, and corned beef hash is as it should be. Ambient noise is too much, you can't hear people at your own table sometimes.

Nice little eclectic cafe nestled in the woods of this local lake recreational site that's perfect for a long walk along a wooded trail with small boating, paddleboards and rentals by the hour. The cafe is a mixture of themes, one being German food. The schnitzel was fantastic as was the sausage variety plate with killer pretzel roll. The wait staff are friendly and helpful. Certainly not enough German beers to qualify as a Hofbrau House, so please owners, consider stocking up more variety of biers! Friendly folks at the lake too. Little Timmy insisted on getting in on the photo here. Nice meeting you, Timmy.

I stopped here for lunch on a pleasant Saturday in May. There was a steady flow of customers, but the service was prompt. The food was great and the view of the lake from the large windows in the dining room was spectacular. There are humming bird feeders at each of the windows that attracted quite a few of the little birds. I had the Schnitzel, which is pounded and breaded pork served with potato salad. Very tender!

I visited here primarily to check out their boat rentals. They rent several craft including small kayaks.

The only thing good Lynx Lake Cafe Was the food. Our entrĂŠes were good but the appetizers love something to be desired.
There was going to be a party of eight of us. My friends got there before we did and asked to be seated when the place opened my friend said that the guy she talked to was very rude and said they would not see her and her husband until the rest of the party was all here. The place was empty. And there was no seating room for them to wait, so they had to stand. We got there at four so that we could get one of the tables with View of the lake, but those two tables were already taken. The other Four picnic tables were in the sun, so I asked a waitress if we could move a picnic table. She had a look of horror on her face and said something to the effect that he would never approve that. No mention of who he was.
Well, we all arrived a Short time later and opted to sit in the dining room because we didn’t want to be in the sun. We were a party of five adults and three teenagers. Two of the teenagers Didn’t see anything on the menu they liked so weren’t going to eat.
I ordered the calamari appetizer, and wanted my one Granddaughter to just try it, so she took one piece but Didn’t care for it.
I then ordered the Soprano Pork schnitzel, and it had Spatzle on it. I Wanted to give a taste of the spatzle to my granddaughter, about a 1 oz, and just a small bite so she could taste my schnitzel. We are not of German descent and don’t eat this kind of food and I just wanted to expose her to it. I didn’t ask for an extra plate, we had a clean appetizer plate on the table that I use to transfer the food, like Angie R’s review above, Was hit with a split plate charge of $6. When the waitress came, I told her I didn’t ask to split a plate and I didn’t ask for an extra large plate and I didn’t ask for an entrée to be split. I simply gave a sample to my granddaughter. The waitress said He, again whoever he is, would never take it off the bill. She should have gone to the manager, and he should’ve come to the table, service was so slow and that split plate charge really ticked me off. My bill for just myself and my two granddaughters was $121.78. I didn’t leave a tip at all, but decided to leave $10. We were all so terribly disappointed, the worst possible Customer Service we had ever seen. And the place only had a few customers on a Friday night when it should be jamming. Maybe they’re laundering money and don’t care or even want to please their customers!
