We were greeted by the hostess and asked if we had a dinner voucher, which we did not. She told us it was 31 a person and asked if we would like to look at the buffet first. We declined based on the look of the restaurant. We were shown to our seats, and then headed to the buffet.
We were very disappointed. A pasta bar where you choose your ingredients was the main focus. It was a mile long line and one poor guy trying to make all these single serve pasta dishes . I skipped the pasta and hit the main buffet. I was met with mini corn dogs, chicken nuggets, a couple of unidentifiable options, fish stick looking things that appeared to be from the frozen section of the local store, and finally some medium rare tenderloin that you got about two small strips of. I found cocktail sauce but no shrimp. I also found many unhappy looking faces on several people. I cannot and do not recommend spending your money here. I should have taken the hint from the hostess and sought out other options.

Fred Harvey is perfect for when you are staying at the Railway Lodge. There hours are perfect for getting ready to catch the train or for when you return from a long day at the Canyon. Buffet style dining with plenty of selection. All of our server's were super friendly! Carla was our server for dinner last night and breakfast this morning and she is awesome! I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We had a wonderful dinner and breakfast here in the Grand Canyon Railroad Package. Both meals are served buffet style with plenty of options. I loved the railroad train that travels on top, around the restaurant. Service was outstanding. There is an attached gift shop. This restaurant is adjacent to the hotel- very easy walk. They are both adjacent to the train depot, so everything is close together.

We had our meals here as a part of our Grand Canyon railway package. The restaurant decor is wonderful, with a train running overhead. We traveled in late January. The waitstaff was great. Don't waste your money at this restaurant. The food at breakfast was okay, the omelets were good. The food at both dinners were a disaster. Obviously, no one cares about the quality of the food. We were unable to eat either dinners as the hot food was cold and the salad brown. The food was not restocked when empty.

I ate Thanksgiving Day dinner 2023 at The Fred Harvey Restaurant and found it to be wonderful.

The restaurant is a buffet which served a truly delicious and appealing dinner.

I paid $29.97 for the Thanksgiving Day meal and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The meal included a soup and salad bar, main entrée bar, your choice of drink. Several different desserts were offered from a stand-alone menu, yet included in the meal price.

I found the meat selection (turkey, pork chops, and sliced beef to be tender, moist, and not overcooked.

To top off my delicious meal was what they named a “warm apple-caramel blossom.” It tasted so superb and aesthetically pleasing when my server brought it to me.

The hostess and wait staff was friendly and attentive.

Overall, I consider this Thanksgiving Day buffet truly a destination eatery driving all the way from Phoenix or Albuquerque.

I am being generous with a 2. Over all the place is disgusting. Buffet is dirty. Food was empty and not being restocked. This place is $30 for adults. They even ran out of plates. Long line to get in. One person seating people. I could go on, but I won't. Please skip this place.

I was there 4/25/25 with a group of ladies. The food was great! Wait staff amazing, but the manager, Cindy, was beyond rude to myself and several other ladies. I asked her where our packed lunches were and she snapped at me, pointed to them and then proceeded to raise her voice and made nasty remarks. I asked wait staff what her name was and the problem and they begged us to report her. Such an embarrassment to a very nice restaurant. Really did you see where I left food
