What a fantastic find. Service was great and the restaurant/bar, music, and amenities kept us comfortable. We never needed to leave for the 4 days were there. The spa, workout room, and pool were clean and well maintained. Barbara gave us a wonderful tour and history of the property. We did change rooms (with no problem and a gracious bellman) due to road noise and were so happy with the new location in the back of the resort. Start to finish, this was a 5 star experience.

Great experience! Service was amazing. After checking us in, the front desk agent Nate, took pictures of me and my bestie to capture my birthday celebration toast with complimentary glass of champagne and then gave us a tour of the hotel with historic explanation. He then walked us to our room to ensure everything was good! I have never experienced such great hospitality!

My husband and I have been to Phoenix on multiple occasions the past four years but this was our first time at Royal Palms. We had a wonderful experience and the hotel and staff exceeded our expectations. Katie remembered our drink order in the morning. We were greeted by Jose when first seated with water and a warm good morning. Barbara at the desk was a joy. She frequently checked to make sure our stay was going well, gave an excellent restaurant suggestion and was warm, friendly and charming. |All the staff made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of during our stay. I enjoyed the spa and had an excellent massage. The yoga class led by Jennifer was peaceful in a beautiful courtyard setting with views of Camelback underneath large trees. We are delighted we made the decision to stay at the beautiful Royal Palms!

Beautiful resort. We got the romantic getaway of our dreams. Went on a Sunday/Monday so it kind of felt like we had the resort to ourselves! Enjoyed the fire pits nightly and could not get over the view from our room. The beds were SO comfy and the room was cleaned twice a day. T. Cooks was also top notch. My only complaint would be drink prices and extra fees at check out. Glad I checked our receipt because we were charged an overnight parking fee for one night even though we did not have a vehicle.

The staff were amazing! The staff at the pool made sure you wanted nothing, they were always making sure we were good! The staff at the lobby were so helpful and super friendly! We ate at the pool and breakfast, we really liked our meals! Our only "complaint" are the beds, they are comfortable, but we would have preferred queen beds not full...even so, we will be back!

Charming but impacted by weddings
The Royal Palms is a beautiful historic hotel with a lot of character and charm. The property is full of intimate courtyards and hidden corners, making it a perfect place for adults looking for a quiet, romantic stay rather than for families. The staff is genuinely kind and welcoming, adding to the warm atmosphere.

That said, the rooms could use some refreshing—they feel a bit dated. Pool service is also lacking, with no staff distributing towels before 11 a.m some days.

The biggest downside, however, was the wedding activity. Throughout the weekend, the hotel’s shared public spaces were largely taken over by wedding events, leaving very few areas accessible to other guests. It felt almost like a partial privatization of the hotel, which significantly impacted the overall experience.

Went for a deep tissue massage on my birthday. Got treated to a glass of champagne and got wonderful service from my masseuse, Mercedes. She was extremely educational and friendly, even gave me advice on ways to target my problem areas. Perfect pressure, amazing ambience. 10/10

My gf and I booked a two night stay here to celebrate our Birthdays. Upon arrival, we were both greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne. We were given a lovely tour as we made our way to our room. The room was beautiful and comfortable. We were also impressed to find a complimentary bottle of champagne on ice. The food was outstanding- hit all of the notes for us. The service over our two day stay, was impeccable; they didn’t skip a beat. The grounds were also incredibly well maintained. It was a true getaway experience. We have already discussed coming back. Top notch, you guys!
