Stayed here one night on our trip back to Phoenix from Monument Valley. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood. The “studio” is located behind the owners home and is completely separate. It has a small dining table, a sitting area, a bedroom with Queen bed and bathroom with shower. Out back is a gate that leads right to some trails around Elden Mountain. The owners Steve and Marnie met us when we strut and showed us around. The next morning Marnie came and served us a complete and delicious breakfast. Everything was homemade and mostly organic. They grow much of their food onsite and even have fresh eggs from chickens. We enjoyed a full breakfast and then did some walking on the trails right out back.
We will stay there again when in the Flagstaff area.
The eggs, toast, turkey sausage and breakfast potatoes were also included but I don’t get a photo. You won’t leave hungry.

Marnie and Steve are the kindest couple, they were so accommodating and wonderful to chat with. Elden trails was everything I needed in a bed and breakfast, we had so much fun hiking on the trails that you have instant access to from the back gate, and Marnie made us an amazing breakfast full of homemade foods such as the yogurt, seed cake, jams, eggs from their chickens, and more! It was exactly what we needed after eating more convenient foods along our road trip. I sincerely hope I get the chance to stay here again and would recommend Elden trails to my friends and family. It was also a very fair price!

Peaceful stay backed up to the Coconino Forest! Trails right out the back gate... Homegrown herbs and vegetables from the garden... We requested a vegan-friendly breakfast and Marnie kindly accommodated us! They have chickens in the backyard for fresh eggs in the morning, if that sounds good to you! Beautiful space! Hosts are welcoming, and I wish we could have stayed longer to get to know them better! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful place to stay. Don’t come expecting modern amenities... it’s very comfortable if you’re looking for a quiet place to stay with home grown food and access to a nature oasis right outside your door! There’s a Berkey water filter for purified water inside the guest house along with an electric kettle and a cabinet with teas, coffee, and dishes to use. Heads up: there is no kitchen or kitchen sink in the guest house... there is a mini fridge and a toaster oven to use.

We stayed here for 6 days and it was so peaceful and enjoyable. Steve and Marnie are so sweet and wonderful hosts. They make an amazing breakfast every morning and were so accommodating in every way. We had family staying at the camp site near by which there is a trail right behind this property that goes right to the camp site. Everything was clean and it was the perfect place to stay. We have a young daughter and they showed her the chickens on their property. They were so sweet to us! Would definitely recommend!

We loved our stay at Elden Trails B&B. The location is close enough to all the fun activities Flagstaff has to offer, while providing a cozy, peaceful place to relax. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay, but for us the top highlights are the gracious hosts, Steve and Marnie and the amazing breakfast they prepared. Proof that healthy, nutritious food can be delicious!

Marnie and Steve run a really great BnB. Very friendly. The guest cabin is out back behind the main house. Two rooms: Bedroom and sitting room with kitchen table. Comfortable. Lots of windows for light. Very quiet. Backyard opens into a Ponderosa Pine forest. They make a terrific breakfast, too, with eggs from the chickens they raise. We'll be back.n

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Elden Trails and wish we could have stayed longer. The studio suite was quite roomy for a couple, including a separate bedroom, sitting room, and front breakfast area. There is a fully stocked cabinet with glasses for water and mugs for preparing tea , as well as a large carafe of filtered water. We really felt at home in the space. We agreed with other reviewers that the shower is a bit tight, but that would not deter us from making a return visit if we're in Flagstaff again (how much of your time do you need to spend in the shower anyway?). Although there was no central AC, a room chiller was provided in case we needed it. In fact, we found it completely unnecessary because the cottage has plenty of windows on all sides for excellent natural ventilation. The property backs to the Coconino National Forest, and (since we were on East Coast time) we loved going out for early morning hikes before our breakfast. Lounging on the patio, we enjoyed visiting with the resident chickens and sighted some hummingbirds visiting the potted flowers. The breakfast was excellent and substantive, including eggs, meat, potatoes, and bread. Our favorite part of breakfast was the lightly sweetened seed cake, which was delicious on it's own or with some local jam on top. Best of all, we especially loved the home-cultured kombucha, yogurt, and yogurt cheese, which were part of the breakfast spread. Thank you, Steve and Marnie, for providing such a welcoming space for a relaxing stay in Flagstaff!

We loved our stay at Elden Trails. The minute we got there we felt like we were in a home away from home. The studio is so sweet and the hosts Marnie and Steve were so kind and welcoming. The yard and trees make you instantly feel at ease. It felt like we were in our own private treehouse/cabin. In the morning they bring you the tastiest fruit and yogurt, jams and a magical seedcake....all homemade with lots of love...we could taste it. It is so wonderful to sleep next to the Coconino Forest. We could not recommend this place more. And let's not forget their sweet chickens who provided us with very tasty eggs. Their breakfast and the coffee was wonderful. Our dog Charlie was in heaven too. We are so grateful that we chose Elden Trails B&B for our stay in Flagstaff.
Sincerely,
The Garvins and "Chicken Charlie"
