I booked an appointment at this massage place late at night for the following day at 12:00PM. However, I realized the next morning that the location was too far from where I was staying on vacation. I canceled the appointment at 7:30 AM. Their policy states a $50 charge for cancellations made less than three hours before the appointment.
I understand cancellation policies, but in this case, it doesn’t make sense. I tried to call and text them at 7:30 AM. Their schedule was completely open when I booked the previous night, so it’s clear they didn’t lose a client by my cancelation. Charging me feels like taking advantage of the situation rather than being fair or understanding.
Mistakes happen, and emergencies or unforeseen issues can arise, especially during a vacation. A good business, particularly one focused on wellness, should approach these situations with empathy. Instead, they chose to prioritize easy money over understanding and customer retention.
This kind of behavior leaves a bad impression and doesn’t align with the positive energy and care you would expect from what is offered. I hope they reconsider their approach to dealing with clients if they want to build lasting relationships.
There are many other places I found and would highly recommend cause of kind communication and empathy, what I think is very important to their services.

Last Thursday, I had a healing session with Dawn Marie where she offered me an opportunity to take part in a workshop she was holding. It sounded great, but I knew nothing about. I made the mistake of signing up for something that I had no prior knowledge about and take full responsibility for that. I was in a place of trust and have now learned to use more discernment especially in regards to "healers". The workshop was to learn about ThetaHealing. The first evening was fairly good, but the following morning I did research on the creator of ThetaHealing. The founder, Vianna Stibal, claims to help people heal from some pretty incredible stuff. As someone who is open to believing and have witnessed miracles myself, I initially took Vianna's origin story as truth; however, a certain knowing inside me said to research her further. I was greatly disappointed to find that not only has this woman been to court for fraudulent behavior, but she also gives unsound health advice and allegedly never had cancer in which she stated she healed herself from. It was with great regret to discover this. And it was an even greater disappointment that this is part of the services and education being provided.

Given, I did partake in half of the workshop with Dawn Marie, but since I found no value in the services provided, I asked for a refund which was denied as she stated it was nonrefundable, though this was never stated to me either verbally or in writing.

Ok, fine, she has that right to refuse a refund; however, I find it extremely unethical to be teaching healing methods that are not based fully in truth.

Personally, I find it extremely disconcerting when teachers and practitioners aren't fully in alignment with what they teach. Vianna claims to be able to help people release programs of being overweight, yet Vianna is, in my opinion, not necessarily in ideal health herself (see photos below). That among many other things started to wave some red flags for me.

Take or leave what you want with this review as this is my personal experience.

If you do decide to do work with Dawn Marie in the future, know that I have personally witnessed her not leave a tip with the local eatery, Diablo Burger. For me, this spoke volumes. But again, take or leave what you will.

It is upsetting that it has come to this; however, I felt as though I needed to share this information with anyone who is considering services with Dawn Marie in the future as I cannot support her practices or ethics.

Edit: I only paid the $100 deposit, because she originally offered the class to me for free, but I felt better about paying something. So, it appears a bit misleading in the owner's response stating that I only paid the deposit as though I wasn't willing to pay the full tuition of $550 and then bounced.
I also did explain to the group that this modality wasn't for me. I feel as though that is letting them know why I left. The power of the subconscious mind is incredible and if someone believes in this, then of course it will work to some degree for them, but for me I don't.
Also, to clarify, I didn't ask for partial refund for past sessions, but I did include the tip I gave in the amount after witnessing her not tip though she said she did. Perhaps, I was in the wrong for that and I take full responsibility for my actions, but I also find that very misleading in the response and felt it necessary to clarify.
Trust your intuition people.

I'm an extremely difficult person to please when it comes to massage. Friends have recommended many different therapists over the years saying how "amazing" they are and I'm almost always disappointed and frustrated because I'm not made of money and these disappointing sessions are usually significantly more than I charge as a massage therapist myself. Well, today I found someone who lives up to the hype. Dawn Marie is truly gifted as a massage therapist and actually appears to want to address your concerns unlike the others who just go through the motions. I'm blown away. And so excited to finally find someone who gives a good, thorough, thoughtful massage. Thank you so much, Dawn Marie!!! 🤯❤️🤗

I had a 90 min theraputic massage here and this was one of the best massages I have had. She used great lavender essential oils, hot towel, and a heating pad. It was great, the place was beautiful, smelled good, clean and welcoming! HIGHLY RECOMEND!

I have had a few Theta Healing sessions with Dawn, and she is amazing at it, I could feel the power of the healing. She is so in tune and spot on, she knew exactly how to get right to the problem I needed help with, even though it was a particularly complicated issue that I hadn't fully resolved myself. I am a Theta Healer too, and I do most of my healing on myself, but every now and again I feel the need to get Dawn to do Theta Healing on me, because having support from another healer gets to the unresolved issues I haven't thought of myself, as having an outside perspective is always a bonus. I have known Dawn for a few years now and she has always been a compassionate, understanding person, who is therefore totally suited to being a Theta Healer, as this modality requires someone of a sensitive nature. I would highly recommend Dawn to anyone!
