My husband and I got married in Phoenix at the end of April and decided to do a local Honeymoon in Sedona that same weekend. We're from Phoenix and have spent a lot of time in Sedona so I wanted a place with nice amenities that was more than our typical staycation. I saw Amara on Tiktok and was interested in the rave reviews, and did they deliver!! The Courtyard view room, tasty restaurant, and stellar spa hit every note! Every Amara staff person we interacted with friendly and accommodating, wishing us a Happy Honeymoon upon check in and at dinner. We made sure to make the most of the pool and creek access too. 5 Stars. Would recommend!

We had a post wedding brunch event at Amara Resort in Sedona and I can’t praise them enough for their service! The food and presentation were great, the atmosphere was beautiful and romantic, and the staff were polite, attentive and helpful! I was most impressed with Mercedes the resort’s Catering sales Mgr. who worked with me remotely, organized the event as I had hoped for and executed it beautifully! We loved it and will definitely go back to stay at the Resort.

Good hotel stylishly decorated and well placed for the main street. Lovely pool area but gets full quickly. Valet parking which means you have to get everything out of your car. We had a creek view which was sweet. Bottom of a steep hill but you can get a golf buggy. Excellent restaurant.

Amara is like the scenery -- as you grow accustomed to it, you notice more and more beauty. The grounds are gorgeous, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff all friendly and helpful. Do yourself a favor and get a massage at the spa and don't miss out on at least one meal and a drink at Salt Rock! I traveled solo and it was great to be a short walk (or golf cart ride, if walking uphill isn't your thing) to shops and restaurants. Loved my stay and would return.

Second time at Amara , first time was Christmas time several years ago and my wife and I sat outside dining area and watched the Christmas movie shown on the red rock screen. Recent stay this Mother’s Day weekend, great room and food staff were exceptional, great location. Cannot wait to return.

We stayed at Amara Resort in May and had an incredible experience! The weather was absolutely perfect, and the location couldn’t be better—short drive to great hiking trails, and steps away from shopping, and restaurants.

Our group visited the spa and everyone truly enjoyed their services—such a relaxing and rejuvenating part of our trip. The pool area was also a highlight. The staff was attentive and friendly, bringing drinks to our chairs and checking in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed.

One of our favorite memories was stargazing at night—it was so peaceful and beautiful. We also had breakfast at SaltRock, and on a cool morning, the host offered us blankets, which was such a thoughtful touch.

The valet team deserves a special shoutout—they were prompt, courteous, and happy to drive us up the hill to the main road whenever we needed. The front desk’s text messaging service made everything even more seamless and convenient throughout our stay.

Everyone we interacted with was warm, accommodating, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Sedona!

Hidden in plain sight. Great hotel centrally located with a short drive to trailheads. Onsite restaurant has some of the best local food, with a great view and even better cocktails (Thanks Billy). Spa was easy to access and Kim gives a great deep tissue. Highly recommend.

The journey to Amara Resort begins with a steep, winding descent where valet service awaits at the bottom. While the location offers seclusion, returning to street level requires choosing between the hotel's golf cart shuttle, driving yourself, or walking the incline—we chose the latter when necessary.||Unfortunately, several maintenance issues detracted from the experience. An unpleasant musty odor permeated the hallway leading to our room, confirming observations from previous guests. The hallways appeared overdue for repainting, and intersecting hall doors functioned poorly. Our second-floor accommodation, while clean, showed visible wear including scratches on the dresser base and chair.||The staff deserves recognition for their pleasant, courteous, and accommodating service—a definite highlight of our stay.||Overall, Amara Resort falls short of its luxury positioning and price point. The experience lacked any memorable "wow" factor, comparable to a standard three-star hotel that would typically include complimentary dining at half the price. The $79 resort fee charged at checkout felt particularly excessive considering our minimal use of amenities—essentially just sleeping and showering.||Value Rating: 2 stars - Poor value for money.|Staff Service: 4 stars - Excellent staff despite property shortcomings.|Property Condition: 2 stars - Noticeable maintenance issues.|Recommendation: Not recommended for travelers seeking luxury accommodations or good value.
