Goldies Route 66 Diner takes you on a delightful trip down memory lane. From the moment we walked in, a warm smile greeted us, making us feel right at home in this charming time capsule. The diner is impeccably clean, enveloping you in a wave of nostalgia with its retro decor and classic vibe. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff who ensured our dining experience was enjoyable. The food? Simply divine. Generous portions of quality fare that left us both satisfied and grinning.

However, the restroom was a letdown – not the sparkling clean standard you’d hope for in such a spirited establishment. Overall, it was a fantastic lunch spot that just needs to polish up on the bathroom situation.

I’d rate Goldies a solid 4 out of 5 stars. A must-visit for any traveler seeking a nostalgic bite!

Had a delicious breakfast here today. We tried the veggie and cheese & the Denver omelette, which were both delish. The coffee was great as well as the decor.
The staff were very kind, overall an amazing experience!!

AMAZING BREAKFAST! Everything on our plates were cooked to perfection. It’s nice to eat a breakfast that isn’t greasy & overcooked. Cooks & servers seem to have a great working relationship we could feel the positivity as soon as you walk in the door. Everything was amazingly clean and all kept.

What an amazing old-time diner. We both had Jeff's big breakfast, and it didn't disappoint. Iris was our server who was very attentive and always smiling. 😁 10 out of 10 from us Brits.

I like nostalgia, I like throwback concepts, so I have no problem with the theme and vibe of Goldie's. I have been in many of throwback themed diners (mostly in places like Tahoe, Truckee and the Foothills towns near Coloma). What's different about those is that they are modern and well maintained, but themed throwback. My problem with Goldie's is that it is simply a very tired throwback style. The ceiling is crumbling, the fixtures are old and dusty, the bathroom is kinda gross, and the tables are actually a series of advertisements for other local businesses. The throwback concept here gets lost actually. It is in dire need of a freshening. Leave it throwback for sure, it's a Route 66 stop.

My bride had Goldie's burger (1/2 lb.!!!) and I had the grilled ham and cheese. We both got fries. The food was just average. Neither plate was hit the table good. I think the highlight would be the hamburger patty on the burger. Thick, juicy and cooked perfectly (why don't people season their meat?).

I didn't go here thinking I'd be blown away. And, in that sense, I wasn't disappointed. I would neither recommend nor dissuade you from eating here. It fills the void, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the prices were reasonable.
