Checked into the motel six in Wilcox today. Due to the uncleanliness of the motel eight across the way we were currently in. It was a last-minute switch and the ladies in here were more than helpful. We work through some hiccups and they did a great job and helping us get these room situated thank you so much! Alma and Cheyenne were very accommodating and helped us patiently worked through all the issues we had and they did an amazing job. Thank you.

Rooms were clean & dog friendly. The carpet was a bit stained & could use a solid clean but it’s a motel 6 so not really a surprise. Fine place to spend a night.

The walls were extremely thin/not sound proof. Expect to hear your everything your neighbors are saying.

Broke down vehicle. Rooms were clean. Beds were decent. Floors are filthy. Carpets need to be cleaned. But front desk was so nice. $100 for one night on a Tuesday. I heard by several this is way better than Days Inn FYI.

Booked a spa suite. Checked in, spa did not work and neither did the heater. They moved us to another room where another spa did not work and there was NO hot water for a shower. Woke up to what sounded like gunshots outside of our room at 5:30am followed by a loud Spanish argument upstairs right above us. Do yourself a huge favor and just don’t book here. We were charged full price anyway with no partial refund.

Donna was so helpful with taking out the time, before i purchased the room look around the property so that I could feel more comfortable! She explained everything I needed or might needed , and all of this was at 5am! 5 star!

We stayed at this Motel 6 on October 5, 2024 because we were involved in some of the Rex Allen Days events. This was my first stay at a Motel 6 in over 10 years (the previous stay is another story). We chose to stay here based on the good reviews rather than drive the 65 mile trip home only to have to drive back the next morning.
Check in was smooth and the desk clerk was very friendly, so no problem there. When we arrived to our room, it looked like the door handle was broken. After several attempts at inserting the door key card into the slot I was finally able to figure out how to manipulate the door handle to open the door. Upon opening the door we were shocked at how filthy the carpet in the room was. There were moths and flies flying around everywhere. We spent the next 10 minutes or so doing pest control in our room. We were afraid to place our luggage anywhere on the floor so we put everything on the table and the night stands. At this point we had to leave for the Rex Allen Days event that we were a part of.
Upon returning to our room later that night and getting ready to go to bed, we discovered that the bed was slanted with the head lower than the foot of the bed. Around this time my wife noticed a large hole in the bed comforter with stuffing coming out of it. After an hour or so of trying to fall asleep to no avail due to the head of the bed being higher than the foot, I finally wound up putting my pillow at the foot of the bed and my feet at the head of the bed and fell asleep.
Shortly after falling asleep, we heard someone trying to enter the room right next to ours and having the same struggles to get their door to unlock as we did earlier that day. So, we once again had to take time to fall back to sleep again.
The bathroom was clean and the shower was great with plenty of hot water.
When we opened the door to get ready to leave in the morning, the sunshine lit up a yellow glow on the carpet a few feet inside the doorway. No telling what kind of radioactive material this might have been.
To end this review, I must say that based on my previous Motel 6 experience in another Arizona city approximately 10 years ago, I should have known better. It definitely won’t happen again. This isn’t even based on our standards maybe being higher than others, this place is simply a dump and needs to be cleaned up or shut down.
Stay at your own risk, especially if you get room 223.
