We stayed in the Kestrel Casita and it was larger than expected. Sheets were crisp and clean. Plenty of nice towels available. Kitchen had everything we needed except a toaster and both the coffee and granola provided were excellent touches. We enjoyed the patio outside our room as well as the hot tub - stargazing was fantastic! Robin was helpful, personable and takes pride in hosting. Overall the location was private, quiet and just what we needed to recharge for two nights.

Our 3 night retreat at Birdsong was one of the most enjoyable stays
we’ve ever experienced. A very calm and peaceful setting overlooking the mountain ridges welcomes you as soon as you enter the gate. Kestrel unit was very comfortable and well equipped. Loved the patio. The hot tub is truly luxurious with the beautiful view. Robin is very attentive to any request or problem (we had none). A wonderful experience and we will return!

I have stayed at Robins place twice. Once with friends on a bike trip and again with the wife, kids, and grandma. Both experiences were fantastic. Her property is a true slice of heaven, close to Patagonia and all the beauty of this area. The road runner guest house was great with five of us, we were able to cook a great meal and spent time in the truly remarkable hot tub (it’s the size of a pool).

We stayed in the Kestrel Casita. The casita was very nice and clean. The beds were comfortable, the furniture was comfortable, and the kitchen had nice treats and all the utensils and cookware we needed. The casita was well air conditioned. The casita had a deck with nice comfortable chairs, and there were additional lounge chairs near our casita. Birdsong is located in a very peaceful area with no neighbors nearby and we had great views of the mountains and hills. We especially enjoyed the wildlife, including javelinas and deer and over 30 species of birds, were abundant. There are bird feeders scattered throughout the property, and a bird pool that attracted lots of birds. We had a hummingbird feeder by our deck and hummingbirds were abundant and quite tolerant of our presence. When not relaxing at the casita, we were at the pool and hot tub. They were very nice and had nice views. The other casitas on the property also looked very nice. Birdsong is about 15 minutes from Patagonia and 15 minutes from Nogales. We enjoyed eating at the Gathering Grounds and Elisa Tamales and Tacos in Patagonia. The local market has tasty treats. Nogales has lots of restaurants and a Safeway. Patagonia Lake with its lake, trails, and nice views is also about 15 minutes away. Our host, Robin, was very nice and helpful and made sure all went well during our stay. We had a great time at Birdsong and would definitely stay at Birdsong if in the area again.

We loved our stay. Incredible sunset in the most gorgeous hot tub and a beautiful sunrise viewed right from bed. The hosts were generous with some delicious granola and ice cold lemon water when we arrived. We definitely recommend staying!

We had such a relaxing and wonderful time at Birdsong! It’s the perfect location to access the Sonoita/Elgin wineries, Patagonia Lake and the many bird watching areas in and around Patagonia! And, it’s a pretty amazing place to rest, relax, and rejuvenate without ever leaving the property!

There are not enough words to describe the experience at Birdsong. After planning a quick stay here for a girls weekend, our only regret was that we didn't extend our trip. The rooms were jaw dropping, from the sweet homemade granola to the unique decor. Views were unbeatable. As we were driving home we already began talking about when our next stay was going to be. Thank you for this experience Birdsong! We will be back!

I can't say enough positive things about Birdsong! My husband and I spent 2 (too short!) nights in the Kestrel Casita after 5 days of hiking in/around Tucson. We were seeking someplace immersed in nature, but not far from other cities and places along our road trip (Tucson, Bisbee). Next time, we'll stay a week! The 35+ acre property is perched on a hill offering vistas in every direction of rolling, ocean-like hills and mountains. You just never want to close your eyes, not even at night when the sky is so full of stars we never see in our urban environment out East. Robin put so much thought and care into the design and decor of every interior and exterior space her guests can enjoy, from homemade granola, fresh farm eggs and lemon water to chairs scattered around offering the best sunset and sunrise views or birdwatching in the garden. The casita has a fully-stocked kitchen, dining room, amazing leather couch and comfy beds with ambient lighting and Sonos sound, plus great wifi.

The giant hot tub is a true show-stopper and we soaked into the sunset, all alone, on both of our two nights, just amazed by the views and the beauty of this retreat Robin has created. There's also the option to workout in the gym, do yoga and, of course, run and walk on the roads leading to and from Birdsong.

Trust me, you will not want to leave! Patagonia is above 4,000 ft, too, so even in the summer it is much cooler than Tucson or Phoenix, so you don't need to visit just in the winter months like us from the east coast;)

We didn't want to leave Birdsong much given our short stay, but did have time to enjoy the Paton Center for Hummingbirds, a walk on the trails of Sonoita Creek Preserve and a lovely Mexican lunch in the border town of Nogales, just 15 minutes away. We also took a look at Patagonia Lake (very close to Birdsong), where we'll rent kayaks on our next trip! And on our drive from Tucson we stopped at Empire Ranch, an old cattle ranch open to the public (free) set in the Las Cienegas National Park (endless grasslands), where lots of Westerns were filmed - you can see why! There's a lovely little trail to walk on and they've recreated the interior spaces of the ranch, also open to visitors.

What a perfect place to start the new year! Thank you, Robin!
