A group of us stayed at Xanadu Ranch GetAway for 2 nights and toured the wineries in the area. They provided a map and also on our key fob were discounts for the wineries if we presented with a purchase. We really enjoyed our stay, our accomodations were spotless, well maintained and very comfortable. All we needed was to bring ourselves, clothes and food, the rest was provided. There are also good restaurants in Sonoita if we chose to eat out. We gathered in the evenings on the patio and built a fire in the fire ring and enjoyed the koi pond and fountain there and star watching. Highly recommend for a relaxing weekend.

The bunkhouse was perfect for my husband, two dogs and myself. The fully equipped kitchen allowed us to make a lot of our meals using some supplied spices and condiments for extra flavor.|The hostess Karen was beyond friendly and helpful with local knowledge for supplies, activities and restaurants. Even though we were booked for nine nights, she would sweep and change out towels daily around our schedule. |We enjoyed seeing the sunrise over the mountains from our breakfast table and drinking local wine on the rustic, western porch in the evenings.

Xanadu Ranch is fantastic. Karen is such an accommodating and welcoming host; and was super flexible when I accidentally mixed up the dates of our reservation. She also provided us a wonderful upgrade.||The ranch itself is great, it’s a beautiful property with Mountain Views and it feels very western. It’s super close to all the wineries and nature, so if you’re in town to explore either of those, it’s a great location.||I’d highly recommend staying here to anyone looking to visit Sonoita/Patagonia.

Karen is a sweet host. The ranch is so beautiful! The place was comfortable, super clean and had everything! Gorgeous piece of property that was so restful and homey! Thank you so much for having us and we will recommend this place to everyone. So much better than a hotel!

Karen was a gracious host. Answering questions about the area and activities. Room was clean and comfortable,she welcomed our dogs. We spent 3 days looking at property and Karen was incredibly flexible with our schedule. Highly recommend. Rolling hills and beautiful area.

Karen, the woman who runs the place, failed to send us specified directions regarding which road to take to checkin. When we drove up the back road, she berated us for doing so and for parking in the wrong spot. Her treatment of her customers was unbelievably rude and poor. If we didn’t need to check in and immediately leave to go to a wedding, I would have taken my money elsewhere. She “apologized” but immediately justified her behavior. I would never stay here again.

This is a huge thank you to Bernie and Karen for the wonderful week we spent with our friends at Xanadu Ranch. There were 9 of us looking for somewhere to relax and explore. Karen suggested we rent the whole ranch, so we did! (All 5 rooms!) I want to thank her for her attention to all our needs. When I discovered I had forgotten my coffee grinder, she graciously lent me hers so that we could make our coffee in the mornings. She checked in on us numerous times to make sure we had everything we needed. It was so lovely and quiet and beautiful. This was a perfect place for a group. We had our own comfy rooms to relax in; we also had different places to gather: the bunkhouse, the back patio, the table under the trees. Three of the rooms had full kitchens so we could cook, too. We went out during the day and then spent our nights around the fire pit. There's lots to do there. We spent one day in Tombstone (45 minutes away), another in Tubac (1 hour away), and the last day was wine-tasting (Highly recommend Los Milics, Rune, and Dos Cabezas). We're already talking about coming back. Thank you, Xanadu!

My second time here and another great experience. Genuinely concerned about your comfort. Fantastic views of the area and conveniently located for hunting, wineries or just a get away. Very pleasant courtyard area to relax and enjoy the beautiful evenings.
