We were coming back after spending time across the boarder and looking for a lunch place. We decided to give this place a try. It was a little busy (got busier while we ate) but we found a table (seat yourself). It was a little bit before our drink order was taken but they were delivered and food order taken right after. My daughter and I split the bolognese - which was $19.99 and didn’t come with any thing else. Luckily I ordered Garlic Knots (6) but that was an additional $6.99. My husband got half meatball sandwich w/french fries. Overall the food was okay (taste wise) but cost wise & what was received was steep. Although those around us mentioned that they “drive all the way out here” to get their pizza. Still give it a shot as you may have a different experience

Great impromptu lunch stop! Food was fresh prepared. Looked an tasted appetizing. Atmosphere would have been a 5 except for a local Realtors luncheon with microphones, clapping, etc. Not a problem, really, but it was a bit loud and I wanted to get in on the gift drawing😉.

Surprisingly good pizza. Just delicious. Also don’t miss the anti-pasta appetizer. It’s really special with fried eggplant on top. This place is delicious. Highly recommend. One of our favorite meals here in Green Valley.

Restaurant was practically empty and the staff were all eating in the dining room. Ordered a salad that came out old, wilted and chewy. The server noticed me peeling card off my dirty fork and offered to make another salad. Overall experience was a no-go

Visiting Tubac for the arts? Afterward stop at the Italian Peasant for their terrific eats. If I hadn't checked out the online reviews I would probably have passed this restaurant by as it looks more like a sports bar from the outside. Inside it's cozy and cool and if you get there when it first opens - 11am - you'll have your pick of spot as it's seat yourself. We ordered the antipasto which was amazing, it had nicely breaded eggplant strips on the top and generous portions of meats, artichoke, and spicy peppers. We ordered the small which was plenty for 3 people. For mains we had the clam linguini which had fresh clams not the chopped up clams most places serve. Ordered a small eggplant parmigiana which came with a side of rigitoni pasta in marinara sauce. These came with a nice serving of garlic bread. Also ordered a full size Peasant hero which was thick with chunks of mozarella and grilled eggplant settled between two fresh slices of bread. So good I forgot to take a picture. Really happy with our choice, the only minor critique is that the clam linguini could've used more garlic to take it over the top. Highly recommend eating here.

Pizza was very good, but all the ingredients ordered never made it to the pie. Marinara sauce was off somehow. Our drinks weren't refilled. We were charged for using a credit card without being asked. Needs some training

Saturday afternoon, very casual place means you don't have much service. Table was filled with crumbs & no one took notice until it was time to provide silverware & the salad. There was a bus cart full of dirty dishes right by the table. The mop bucket sat outside the restroom, smelled very strong & unpleasant. Food was tasty but expensive for what you get with an entree. They should open later if they can't provide the kind of service they seem to deliver a night, according to other reviews. I can't recommend this restaurant.
