Absolutely stunning spot just outside of Tucson. Tubac Golf Resort & Spa is serene, peaceful, and incredibly beautiful. The grounds are immaculate and give off a relaxing, upscale vibe without feeling stuffy. The restaurant is a standout: amazing food, great service, and a view that makes you want to stay a while. Just an incredibly cool place overall. Highly recommend

Tubac Golf Resort is one of my absolute favorite locations as a wedding photographer. I'm always thrilled when my couples choose this venue, with almost unlimited gorgeous locations to choose from, cooler temps than in Tucson, and amazing staff. I could shoot photos here all day.

I stayed at this resort at their hotel on business. The overall resort site is nice, clean and peaceful. The front desk staff was helpful the first day, unfortunately the staff was not consistent. My room was very nice with a comfortable bed , large bathroom and very peaceful and quiet. The resort has a restaurant where the staff was attentive and helpful. Overall nice stay

I visited Tubac Golf Resort and Spa for a family event. The landscaping was beautiful and the restaurant/event staff were great. However, the hotel bungled my reservation and the way they handled the situation left a bad taste in my mouth (and a dent in my wallet as the "fix" involved charging me a higher flat rate for my room after I was assured this would not occur).

I share a name with my aunt. She arrived at the hotel the day before me and was somehow checked into my room despite my reservation starting a day after hers. When no one arrived to check in for my aunt's booking, they cancelled her reservation and gave the room to someone else. The next day, I arrived to check in and was told that my room is already occupied and there are no remaining vacancies. After a few panicked moments, I was offered a room that was under maintenance for a broken TV. While they did find a place for me to stay (and fixed the TV that day), I was left with the distinct impression that the hotel staff felt like I was being a bother, despite the fact that this mistake lay entirely in their hands and could have been avoided by more carefully checking confirmation numbers. I understand that the situation was something of a freak accident, but having worked in the service industry for most of my adult life, I know I would have been tripping over myself to apologize...

This was frustrating, but I would not have bothered to write this review had I been charged appropriately for my reservation. At checkout, I asked the receptionist to confirm that I was not being charged more for the room I wound up in, as the total was higher than I expected based on my original quote. She impatiently replied that the quote I got with my reservation didn't include taxes and fees and I would not have been charged a different price because I wound up in the same type of room. However, while looking over my bill on the way to the airport, I saw that the flat rate for my room was in fact $17 more per night than I was originally quoted. Not a huge amount of money, but I am a grad student living on a student stipend, so every dollar counts. I did not bother contacting the hotel again because thus far the hotel has been dismissive about the matter and I am not interested in twisting anyone's arm.

So...not the worst experience, but the service I received was not what I would expect from a 3-star resort.

History and architecture of this property is incredible. The property grounds are gorgeous. Rooms are adorable with fireplaces. We spent $800 for two nights. Spa very small. Spa manager is rude. We were told not to use too many towels as staff is over worked but they charged us $143 for a 50 min massage. Housekeeping very nice. The restaurant food is good but service is slow. Golf course is great but elderly beverage cart lady was unfriendly. Overall great property but service is below par especially for the prices charged.

Well, what a wow experience! The accommodations were classic hacienda style with a fantastic restaurant and a view of the greens. I loved the gift shop too! The Stables restaurant offered one of the best breakfasts ever, and the dinner by the fireplace was equally as yummy. I actually left my favorite necklace in my room, and they returned it to me! The staff were all incredible and the grounds were fantastic. We expected an evening visit from the local javelina, and we were not disappointed!

This is a must play golf course. Interesting holes. well maintained. the best part was the placards around the course that described what happened and where in the Tin Cup movie. A lot of fund. The starter was very friendly and efficient. It was definitely a positive experience. Glad we did it!

We have loved this place for a long time and have been repeat customers for years. The service has really gone down hill over the last few years. The employees in every department (with the exception of the spa I must say!) have made us feel unwelcome several times now and are short and act inconvenienced every time we book. The restaurant will have few people in it but the staff makes you feel like they are doing you a favor by finding you a table and it will be difficult to get you in, but they will manage. The front desk clerks rarely smile and they too act like you are interrupting them upon check in. Very unwelcoming. We needed to modify our reservation this time within the 3 day cancellation period due to an ill elderly parent who lives in Sahuarita and they would not budge on their policy to charge one night plus tax. 350.00 gone. We booked directly with them. Bottom line, profits over people and repeat guests combined with a bag of unpleasant workers makes this place such a bummer now as it is so charming. Too risky to book this place for the price.
