Not a B&B, but now is the Ash Canyon Bird Sanctuary run by the Southeastern Arizona Bird Observatory (SABO). Open daily dawn to dusk except Thursday mornings.$10 donation. It needs a new Google listing, but I reopened this one so there's something online. Needs signs on the road too.

Though no longer a B&B, this is one of the finest birding spots in southeastern Arizona. For $10 a person (and an additional $15 for photographers), you can spend ALL day here, dawn to dusk, and easily see birds not found anywhere else in the US, or even in Arizona. And for $100 a day, you get complete access to the place, including the blind and feeder setup. We did it, it was worth it! Rare birds so close to you that you can barely focus on them. If birding is your thing, then I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Perhaps the highlight of my birding trip in SE AZ. In my April visit you could get 40 species at the feeder without effort. Mary Jo also has perhaps the most reliable Montezuma Quail in the country and definitely the only reliable Lucifer's Hummingbird. She built this place with photographers in mind so there's tons of natural perches and water features. The light is best in the morning. She asks for a small donation of $5 off-peak and $10 peak season. Given that she spends $13,000/ yr on the feed, I'd encourage an extra tip.

Well, it's certainly a nice setup to see and photograph hummingbirds and other birds. But to charge $5 to get in and then an additional $15 if you bring a tripod in is absolutely ridiculous! And then on top of that, you have to pay that same fee EACH time you visit! A one time fee should cover you for multiple visits while your in the area. I realize it costs money to maintain the feeders, but the $15 tripod fee is a joke! How is one supposed to photograph the birds with a big heavy lens and not use a tripod? Talk about taking advantage of a situation. A bit greedy if you asked me.

One of the best places to see a variety of birds in Southern Arizona. Her backyard is set up perfectly for attracting birds and the viewing areas are comfortable. The bird actions is almost non stop. It's a must see location if you are birding in the area.

Such a serene space, and the owner Mary Jo is lovely to sit and talk with or just to enjoy the peacefulness with. Yes, you have to pay a little, but you honestly shouldn’t need a tripod or scope to enjoy the birding on the property. Additionally, there is an enormity of expense to maintain a place like this, and this is her livelihood. Give a little extra, if you can!

We're here to watch the amazing layout provided for the hummingbirds. We were the only people here for a couple hours and I took hundreds of photos. Very cool place and we'll definitely be back and we thank the owners to provide such a spread

Came here 10 years ago when I was passing through Arizona, and again today. Delightful, non-assuming, and homey - tucked away in a canyon about 10 miles from Sierra Vista. The back yard is a birder's dream. If you want somewhere quiet and cozy, it's recommended. If you're a rabid birder, you can't miss this one!
