My son and daughter-in-law recently moved to a condo in the Westgate area. I live in town, but Aloft in Glendale will be my home away from home when I visit them. I stayed there for 2 nights at Easter, and then again on Wednesday for my grandson’s graduation. I love this hotel - the vibe, the rooms, the people (particularly sweet Kathy from Maui), and the proximity to everything via walking! I admit I was slightly apprehensive after reading some recent reviews, but my week-long work trip at the Aloft was excellent. The staff was consistently friendly and efficient. My room was not only clean but surprisingly spacious. The hotel clearly communicates its policy of limited daily housekeeping, and they were very responsive to requests, providing an ironing board and extra hangers for my entire stay. The lobby has a cute modern design, which created a comfortable workspace. I appreciated getting a cup of coffee every morning in the lobby as well. I didn't have drinks at the Aloft bar while I was there but the atmosphere seemed very cute. While some ambient noise was present while in my room, as is typical in hotels, I use white noise sounds from my phone, which ensured a restful sleep. The most significant advantage was the location. A short, five-minute walk to the vibrant Entertainment District allowed me to easily explore restaurants and bars like Yard House, Salt, and Tulum. I wholeheartedly recommend the Aloft for both business and leisure travelers seeking a convenient and enjoyable stay.

We were booked for 5 nights but ended up only staying 2 nights. Our first night, the room needed a bit of TLC. The sensor was broken off (but worked), the air conditioner was extremely loud and the photon was very dirty. We ended up change rooms. A huge thank you to Lacey for getting us another room. Her service was amazing! Unfortunately, the room was filthy. The wall was covered in toothpaste and floor was very dirty. We spilled some water on the floor and wiped it up with a towel. The towel was filthy dirty. We asked for the cleaning staff to return to re wash our floor. We left and came back. The floor didn’t get cleaned. My husband wiped the floor with a wet cloth and the floor continued to be filthy (the cloth was black). We called and the supervisor of the housekeeping came. She showed up with a dry mop. We said it needs to be cleared with water and cleaning products. She returned with a very small bucket. As we left her to clean, she had started in the bathroom and the mop was filthy as was the bucket water. We ended up leaving and booking a new hotel for the rest of our stay.

Everybody was so wonderful, so magnificent, so loving, so caring so kind I just don’t know what else to say. |But I had an awesome time at the bar. I had an awesome time in the lounge area. I had a awesome time playing with the little dog that they rescued. You know that I was just so awesome for them to do that. Hey brother how you doing? I’m doing fabulous.

What an embarrassment the customer service is here. Location is great. Couldn’t be better. The room is good. But the front desk and the customer service here is non existent. I am a titanium elite. It means nothing here. You are just a piece of meat. She gave me the room right next to the bar so I was listening to party people all night until 11pm. When I first arrived there were two people at the counter with no guests there but they were in their own little world just staring at the computers. I had to say “can I check in” the response was yes “one moment we are just doing something real quick” then 5 seconds later she decided to ask for id. The room didn’t even have a tv remote I had to call the front desk to ask where it was and she gave me one. I literally didn’t even want to talk to the front desk for anything as they act territorial and like it’s an inconvenience. The bar seemed fun and active since there was lots of chatting. But the front desk customer service could care less about actual guest services. It feels like you are inconvenience to them when checking in or asking questions. Not sure who is managing this place or overseeing it but Marriott needs to look into it. Or why would people continue the loyalty to the brand if this is the new standard

This is definitely one of the best stays we’ve had in awhile! Everything was amazing, from the shower with just the right amount of pressure to the top-notch air conditioning. And the place was spotless! The staff was super friendly and helpful, especially Toby!

Planned ahead for graduation at GCU. The experience from beginning to end was perfect! We were able to check in early and in time for me to be at my graduation ceremony. Lacey was great at checking us in early... still waiting for our $114 to clear in our over charge but other than that, the whole experience was unforgettable! Jenga was fun!
