Whenever in Avondale, AZ, we end up eating seafood at Pier 88. Depending on what time and what day you go, this place can be very busy. The food is good. The only thing I would say if you are going to get appetizers DO NOT order your entree at the same time because even if you say you want some time un between dishes it will all come out right after each other. But other than that I can appreciate it and there is plenty of parking for big trucks

My order was to go! I arrived and was met with smiles and hellos! The atmosphere was nice and service was not lengthy! My boil bag was worth the money but for medium spice it was rather hot! My chicken wings were great just didn’t like the packaging! The majority of the juice on my wings spilled all over my bag! But I would truly recommend eating at Pier 88! Great date night option!

Great food! Great service. Our waitress Mel was the best. Would absolutely come here again. Highly recommend coming here. Our food was out quick and our drinks were always filled. 😀

The oysters were okay. They didn't taste bad but they didn't taste fresh and had no oyster liquor which I think contributed to the frozen taste. Calamari basket and onion rings were great. The head on shrimp boil was pretty good, but I just wish it had more butter. I had the 88 special blend and it was just basically a paste of seasonings with very little butter. A bit on the salty side as well but it was flavorful and went well with the corn and potato.

I’ve been coming to Pier 88 for as long as it’s been open and I appreciate the consistency in flavor and thickness of the sauce! The Low Famous Country Boil is an offer that’s hard to beat. I love coming to Pier 88!

I’m from New Orleans and I’ve eaten at most of the boil places in town. This place and LA crab shack are the best but this place is easier to get too and the food is great with a slightly better price that any of the rest. I hope they can keep prices down. Love the sauce and the crab is quite large! Also they let you pay at the table so the debit card doesn’t disappear!

Took my mom who is 78 years old, doesn't walk or stand very well to pier 88 for lunch. There was a large graduation party that walked into the door at 11:27, they open at 11:30. I saw they were allowing people in so I helped my mom out of the car into the restaurant. It was 100 degrees outside no shade.. the host saw us come in the door told us we needed to go back outside until 11:30. Time was 11:29. There was plenty of room to stand inside without taking my mom outside in the sun to wait. This is the 2nd time they did that to my mom. No customer service. They handled the bigger party quickly and good customer service seating them. 2 people coming in had no problems pushing us out the door. Good food no thought of doing a little extra for a senior that can barely walk. My opinion not a place to go to. I would rather be served by a company that cares about their customers and not the dollar that comes in their pocket. Avondale location

First time being here and definitely will be my last!!! The seafood boil “famous low” my daughter got and was by far the best on the table!!! I ordered a fried crawfish po boy and it wasn’t good!! Bread was hard and super dry! Even with sauces added to the bread it was dry! Crawfish had absolutely no flavoring and was kinda doughy. The Cajun fries definitely were NOT Cajun lol. I only ate half of the po boy and the rest went into the trash!! We also got a side order of eggs (3) and they were overcooked! And a side of jalapeño poppers, which we weren’t fans of either so we left most of them on the table too. I got a side of butter to eat with the eggs and it was given to me about 7 minutes before we got our food so it was cold by the time my food came. We had really high hopes as we absolutely love seafood and anything Cajun but this was a huge disappointment!!! For two people we spent $70!! Atmosphere was fine, place seemed clean. Our server was nice but not very attentive to our table.
