The quality of El Rey's has diminished tremendously. Overpriced underwhelming badattitude havin service. They will lie to you about the prices on the menu, they will overcharge you if you're not paying attention. The quality of the food is not what it used to be. It's my own fault because the last few times I went there the service and food were poor, however I went one more time and unfortunately it'll be my last. I ordered two shredded chicken quesadillas and a cup of cheese dip. The two, hardley any chicken quesadillas were hardly shredded, clumps of dry chicken no sauce, and cold cheese. I paid as much for those two dry nasty quesadillas and a cup of cheese dip, as I would have a 3-piece whole catfish dinner with two sides and hush puppies from David's catfish. Should've went with my first mind.

The chicken chimi was everything you could want a chicken chimi to be. The Texas marg is on point! Two reasons I didn’t give a 5 star review- the ambiance here sucks, decor and paint needed, and the chips tasted like they were cooked in last week’s left over oil. Other than that, it’s good!

The employees need to learn how to carry on a conversation with the customers. Not say “Here” when passing out the food. Anything with lettuce was watery on the plate. Over Not a good experience!

We ordered cheese dip, two drinks, number 50 with two hard tacos and chicken soft, and a 14 burrito along with a fried ice cream. The burrito was smothered in onions and the chicken soft taco the meat was so cold I spit it out. Beef was just blah. We just moved back to town & far as service it was pretty great it was quality of the food that has us giving such a low rating. Idk if will waste our time coming back unless the food quality improves it just wasn’t worth it.

Great food and huge menu. Large combo menu options and very reasonable for the amount that f food you get. Salsa and guacamole are great and fresh. Staff was friendly and the food wait time was minimal. Will definitely be back.

The food was horrible! They try to slip in fees. My adult son is autistic. Ordered a kids meal. He won't eat anything else. They added $2 to an already overpriced $6.95 tiny burger. Said adults pay $2 more. I Ordered BEAN DIP and it cost $5.95. I got white, FAKE CHEESE with a spot of bean at the bottom. I didn't order cheese dip! I ordered bean dip! I paid
$9.50 for a soggy borito swimming in watery mess! I couldn't eat it. I paid for it, but didn't eat it. Disgusting!
They don't wash their glasses properly. I feel like I'm blowing bubbles from all the soap! They ripped me off and laughed about it. We'll see who laughs last!

This is the first time that I have ever ordered beef and bean nachos to where they tasted like potty meat. The cheese was not quality and was more watery and congealed. The nachos were left under the burner too long and was burnt. Needless to say one and done.
