We stayed at the AZ Grand to celebrate the end of the school year. The stay was great from beginning to end. Checking in was quick and easy. Our room was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. We had 2 fun days at the Oasis water park in a cabana and then a daybed. It was awesome! Food and drink service at our cabana/daybed was great. Food was so good. We loved this place!

Family and I had a great stay. Rooms were spacious. And for the price, you get a lot. The access to the waterpark was the main reason we stayed here - I’d struggle with the resort fee otherwise. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, albeit a bit dated. Still, bed was comfy. The gym was incredible and offers an alternative to running in the phoenix heat. Breakfast at the restaurant was wonderful - service, food, and ambiance. I’d 100% stay here if room rates stay <$200 (+resort fee of $90). Any more, I’d probably look at the competing nearby options.

We stayed at this hotel over the weekend and had a mostly enjoyable experience, though there were several areas for improvement. The highlight was the incredible waterpark—tons of activities for all ages, and definitely the main draw of the property. We were also grateful to receive a complimentary room upgrade, which was a thoughtful gesture.

That said, the upgraded room, while spacious, felt dated. Some faucets were worn out or broken, and air conditioning couldn't cool the room effectively. We mentioned this at checkout, and the staff comped our resort fees, which we appreciated. Still, the room lacked basic supplies—no paper towels, kitchen towels, or similar items—and it was clear that a balcony curtain or shade had been removed, with only the mounting hardware left behind.

One major downside was the limited onsite dining options. For a resort of this size, we expected more variety. What was available was extremely overpriced, especially considering the quality. It’s frustrating to feel like you’re stuck paying resort prices for food that’s just okay.

Service also missed the mark at times. We had confirmed several times in advance that we needed a pack 'n play, but still had to request it repeatedly before it finally arrived.

The waterpark itself is fantastic, but the seating situation is chaotic—chairs and lounges are packed in tightly, and it starts to feel more like a public waterpark than a relaxing resort. Parking was rough, but we expected that on a holiday weekend.

All in all, we had a good time and appreciated some of the efforts by the staff, but between dated rooms, high food prices, service hiccups, and the crowded layout, there’s room for improvement to make it feel like a true resort experience.

We had a wonderful two-night stay at this beautiful resort. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere throughout the property was fantastic. Our room was just a short walk from the water park, where our two kids happily spent every moment from open to close! The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. While the food and drinks were a bit on the pricey side, they were convenient and tasted great. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone, especially families with kids who love the water!

Absolutely stunner of a hotel complex! Would love to see the refinement of services match the appearance of this place. It's not really a luxury resort, but a gorgeous one. The views from every corner are stunning. Stucco and Spanish tile amidst towering palms make this a special place to visit. Food on-site is average. Housekeeping was fabulous! Avoid "upgraded" rooms on the Palm Court as there are nonstop events with set ups and breakdowns making quite a din. Booked a visit to the spa and Lisa was transformatively good. The valet guys are on the ball, helping with bags and making suggestions to make your stay better. The gift shop has all the essentials you forgot to pack, and all the gifts you need to take home. Aside from the water park, there were great pools in the Camelback building with sun and shade. Beautiful!

Decent beds. Room was very clean. Everything was within walking distance. Upcharges are big, so plan ahead. Nice to have good coffee within reach, Starbucks. Great atmosphere around lobby and golf course. If you want quiet, ours was great. We were in Sedona suites. All other pools we saw were quite busy. Maybe it’s location? Never found out cost to reserve a good spot at water park, but we found a table just fine. Slides were pretty cool. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Oh, we had two teenaged kids with us and they thought this place was great.
