Favorite of locals, this place will not let you leave hungry! The portion sizes are enough to share! We came for breakfast and it was delicious! Food is served up quickly, and the coffee is fantastic! The reindeer sausages were great, and the flapjacks were bigger than a Frisbee!

This is a cute mom & pop style diner with Rte 66 and 50’s American themes. Also, conveniently located a hop over from creek street.

They offer traditional American breakfast for a decent price. Both my wife and I ordered the 2x French toast breakfast. It was great. Coffee was good and refills were timely.

I did find it odd, however, that on the menus half-sized portions are available but only a dollar cheaper than the full-sized option. Seems strange to offer it in the first place.

The customer service was good. Expect about $40-45 for two people.

Typical diner with some Alaskan food options. It's tough to get certain items during the winter so just be aware. Otherwise, it's open later than most restaurant and makes good meals.

Good service, was reasonably fast, as well as reasonably priced for the quantity of food.
I’d rate the chicken fried at 8 out of 10.
The toast was perfect. And the hash-browns a good 7 out of 10. Overall, I would come back.
As for the lemon pie, very nice as well with some coffee.

Standard breakfast fare- expensive but this is Alaska. Nothing special about the food but did have good portion sizes. Service was excellent, though- professional and friendly. Had egg sandwich- a bit greasy, scrambled eggs, reindeer sausage and hash browns. All just ok. Coffee was typical diner coffee. The only reason I give it 4 stars is the service- warm, friendly, and prompt.

Amazing cafe in downtown Ketchikan. I went before the cruise ships arrived and it was great. Not crowded, locals having some breakfast and coffee. I stop here for breakfast every year while in town for a day before our fishing trip in Thorne Bay. The Country Breakfast is huge and worth the $18. Staff is friendly and service is pretty quick. Today they said there are 13,000 tourist coming into port so if you’re looking for a breakfast spot and you’re on one of the cruise ships I would head here right after getting off the ship to beat the crowds. If you live a local cafe for breakfast then you’ll love Pioneer Cafe.

Everything here was great. They were slammed when I went in. One waitress, and a full house. But the owner came in, saw it, and offered to come back later instead of help, so it's not the waitress's fault. She was great! The burger was awesome. The place is nostalgic and homey.

A throw back restaurant themed from the 1950’s or 1960’s. The food is good and you get a lot of it! Prices are reflective of the amount of food you get. Most breakfast meals can be shared between two people. Just recommend to try and get there before the cruise ships get in or else you’ll probably have a long wait. We went early morning around 7am and got our food with in 10-15 mins.
