This is an old, run down hotel. Room smelled strong of disinfectant yet had a dirty base odor. Security chain was broken. Beeakfast wasn’t. Some bread and eggos. Help was rarely at the desk. The bed was OLD and dilapidated. The temp control ont the thermostat didn’t work. The refrigerator was incredibly noisy.

Bed bugs!!!Bed bugs bit my wife numerous times causing pain and large bites. We now have to pay to have everything we brought on our trip professionally cleaned out of pocket. We were only given a partial refund which is a load of crap even after I brought some of the bed bugs that were crawling on the bed. Entire building reeks of marijuana. Do not stay here!!!!!!

We experience a landslide after sitting in our car for 7+ hours we finally got word the road would not reopen. We recently moved to Ketchikan so we didn't know what to do had no place to go. We did a Google search after calling another hotel they where full we called the Super 8 great the had a room. We could get out of the weather , have a place to shower and rest. Everything went smoothly until we got to our room. There was so much noise, it sounded like the water that was being used was being used in our room. It sounded like the other guest where in our room. There was a broken window which had duct tape over, we where never told about. The floors where dirty, the microwave was dirty, the chairs where dirty , one chair had 2 loose screws that caused it to be wobbly . The box spring for the bed had a huge nasty stain on. Something caught my eye so I looked under the bed there was a pair of shoes !!!!

DO NOT EVER STAY HERE!!!! DRUGS... You can smell pot, cigarette smoke, other drugs in the hallways. The employees are all outside smoking pot and there is no one at the front desk. The rooms are not clean. They DID NOT HAVE EXTRA PILLOWS ETC. The manager lives there and does NOTHING ABOUT ANY OF IT. The "breakfast consists of microwave waffles, mini muffins or cold cereal

The views from my room was the most beautiful in the world, looking out into the great wide wilderness. I didn't need no tv, I fell asleep laying there staring out at the water day dreaming

Do not stay here! It was the filthiest room I’ve ever been in and i travel for work. Black mold all throughout the bathroom. Bathroom sink took two hours to drain. Some sort of stains on the ceiling above the bed. Mattress cover was grossly stained. Cigarette butts and trash underneath the bed in a non smoking room that stunk of cigarette smoke. Sheets had stains on them. Bikes in the hallway outside the room next to mine clearly showed people living there. Front office couldn’t check me in properly. Computer problems. I also requested a receipt upon checkout. 48 hours later, never got it. Had to call again. Luckily i was only in the room for less than 14 hours. Do yourself a favor and just avoid this place.

If all you're needing is a bed to sleep in and nothing else, this Super 8 works. We were in town for one night, so it was fine, but I wouldn't recommend it for any longer. They did check us in early, which was nice and made it so we didn't have to carry around luggage as we explored Ketchikan. However, the whole place smells of secondhand smoke. (The lobby smelled the worst.) I have asthma and secondhand smoke triggers it the fastest, so I spent the whole time hoping I wouldn't have an asthma attack. I went and bought febreeze from the grocery store, which helped with our room. IF there was someone at the front desk, they were helpful, but usually there wasn't. When we called for extra pillows and a hair dryer (the one in our room didn't work), the man who helped us was super nice and quick. The continental breakfast was pretty sparse. We were the first ones at it, and the random slice of waffle both confused us and made us laugh. My husband has stayed here multiple times when needing an overnight stay, but I'm definitely going somewhere else next time.

Awesome view. Wasted by gross hotel. I got eaten alive by bed bugs. Bites didn't show for a couple days. I was stuck here for a week on a work job. I even bought new bed sheets for the bed. Keep your luggage in bathroom, it saved me from transferring bugs to 2nd hotel. I do this at every hotel now regardless.
Also, an employee was stealing from rooms. One of my co workers had a dress stolen and they knew who it was, nothing was done about it.

We got transfered to another hotel as soon as there was availability. The Landing, way better place. Just wish they had thr beautiful view that was sadly Motel 6 has.
