They did a nice job making everything unique for them such as leaf shaped soap. Was surprised there was no TV guide just because all the details were there (matching bed covers, matched to soap ect....). We stayed 1 night and it was a good hotel. Nice location as it is close to the fresh market which offers good food without having to go back onto the 231

*BEWARE* YOUR CREDIT CARD REMAINS IN THEIR SYSTEM, AVAILABLE FOR REPEAT CHARGES FOR OTHER GUESTS (5 in 6 mo for me).
I stayed at Sleep Inn during June 2024 and my credit card went into their system. I never stayed there again- but apparently my credit card information did. There were 5 charges made to my card from July to December 2024. After I contacted the hotel for reimbursement for the December charge for $176.40 I was told they had discovered that the issue was that there was another card in the system having the same last 4 digits as mine. They said they had 90 days to work it out. That has more than passed. Despite knowing this was not my charge, they will no longer communicate with me and no reimbursement.

Not a good location! Our vehicle was broken into, I let the front staff know and all she did was shrug. Not concerned at all. They tore our headliner off. We filed a police report. We came in from out of state for a family funeral. So very unfortunate.
The lobby and room was pretty clean but definitely could have changed the bedding and the towels. Towels were old and the bedding on one of the beds was stained. We were put on the second floor which was fine but the elevator was not working not sure how long this has been down. Not a good experience.

Check in was a small hassle but not the front desk persons fault. Elevator is out of order so you have to use the stairs. Rooms are clean and spacious. Showers have good water pressure. Rooms were freshened daily. Plenty of parking and near eats and shops

Spoiler alert. Don’t even bother staying here at this property or anywhere nearby. Here is the full story… We’re headed to a graduation at a nearby university and decided to stay here because all the hotels near the university were completely booked. We had a late arrival, so about one and a half hours later, while asleep at 1:30 am, we heard screaming of profanities, several loud bangs, someone running up and down the first floor of the hotel beating on the doors while yelling profanities. It appeared to be a female, demanding her money, specifically $100 that she kept screaming about. Not sure if they are running drugs out of this property, a prostitution ring is present, etc., but a man and woman were arguing, ruining up and down the hallway for at least 30 minutes. Again, I heard banging noises, six or eight loud booms, and then had enough and decided to call 911.

When law-enforcement arrived, the female perpetrator who ran away from the scene. After the police left, I went out of the room to see what was going on. I saw shattered flower pots that were very large, they were broken all on the exterior of the property. Not sure what caused the break. I assume it had something to do with the loud booms that I heard. So, things finally settled down a bit and I tried to return to sleep. Less than an hour later, the same thing happens again with someone demanding money and I had to call 911 again fearful of what may happen if the event escalated again. When I did call 911 both times, the 911 operator did not seem to be surprised and said she knew exactly where I was calling from as if they were familiar with this type of incident as Iit appeared to happen in a very regular basis. After the police left the second time, I went and asked the on duty manager at the front desk what was going on, and he told me don’t worry about it. It was not a big deal. I do think hearing loud noises that bang and boom, followed by broken glass on the exterior in the main entrance of the property is NOT a big deal. So, after the second incident, I decided to leave in the middle of the night and head elsewhere. When checking out, I asked the manager to cancel my reservations and refund at least one night stay since I was not going to stay there, if not to refund both nights. The manager did not do anything for us and basically said everything was handled that it wasn’t a big deal. In the area, there are other hotels that are boarded up and shut down, presumably because they had no business. Also, several commercial properties on busy intersections are boarded up, other than boards that were taken out for vagrants to live in the building and who knows what else goes on in there. In the end, this property, although it was clean, is right in the middle of this type of environment. I would recommend that no one even take the exit for this hotel, much less considered staying there or doing anything in this area. Do yourself a favor and possibly save yourself from experiencing a violent event like I did. I should’ve known because of when I was checking in, I heard another guest complaining about some incident where security footage needed to be checked from the day before. I should’ve followed my instinct at that time and left at this point, but it was very late, storming rain, and I assumed maybe I was overreacting. There certainly was no overreaction based upon the loud booms, the vulgarities, people running up and down the hallway where at a woman was demanding $100 on all least 2 separate occasions, banging on doors on the first floor, where I was located. Moral of the story… stay away.

Lastly, I do expect to get a reply from the manager that says that “we will meet with our staff and we take safety very seriously.”
So, Management, you can spare me from a boilerplate, generic response. Instead of taking time to copy and paste the typical response to a review like this, which do not appear to be uncommon based on what I just read, please take that time to do something to make the safety of your property a higher priority. Thank you.

Positive: The staff. Negative: Everything except the staff. The elevator was out so we had to park at the ends of the hotel and use the stairs. I was given the end room that shares a wall with the stairs. All day and all night the sound of people using the stairs and the door slamming.
