the hotel is a sad story.
the stains were visible in the tub and the carpet was beyond its expiration. the bathroom door did not open completely and ran into the toilet, which was awkward. i was afraid to use the sofa thinking it must be old too. the bed was comfortable though.

the staff was alright. especially, the lady in the breakfast was very kind and went out of her way to help. bless her.

the location is great. but otherwise not very impressive. my room was on the 6th floor and on the side of the road. i could hear people talking loud on the streets and the vehicles passing by.

I can’t say anything nice about my experience when it came to my room but the valet was some of the best that I have experienced. Kenney and Andre made sure my vehicle was taken care of and they were extremely quick and efficient. 10/10 valet from them. If the room was as good as the valet I would have stayed longer.

I paid close to $300 for this hotel and the room (703) was embarrassingly bad. Plaster was peeling off the bathroom ceiling in a huge way, it needed a paint job badly, the furnishings were in such bad shape, I wouldn't even donate them to goodwill if they were mine. And the carpet had bleach spots right as you enter. Someone took a pen to the grout in the bathroom and doodled on it!! And dust and hair was visible on the edges of the carpet where the housekeeper fails to vacuum. Also, the refillable shampoo in the shower was empty! There were very few people at breakfast which makes me think that the hotel was not very crowded so I wonder why I got such a poorly kept room. I'd have to assume that all the rooms in the hotel were in as bad condition. They had a make your own waffle station at the breakfast, but it tasted like the batter was sour. My husband and I agreed that there was definitely something wrong with it. I have been to dozens of Hampton Inn's and this one was by far the worst experience I have ever had with this chain.

This hotel is in absolute shameful condition. Got to the room and the curtains were torn, one significantly that nearly prevented closure. The bathroom floor was slimy & slippery. The sofa, carpet and walls were very dirty. The bathroom sink was very slow to drain. There was trash behind the fridge. The whole room only had one tiny trash can in the bathroom. There was an ironing board but no iron (they did bring one when I asked). The bedsheets were stained. A few days into my stay, someone entered my room despite the Do Not Disturb sign being up. Could tell because the curtain had been moved and the light was left on. Most disturbingly, my dresser drawers had been moved. Was later told a TV technician had entered all rooms but no notice was given, and why would that person touch the dresser drawers? Luckily nothing was missing. Lastly, breakfast was abysmal! My coworker’s room had no mini fridge or microwave and the valet workers seemed to get bothered every time he asked for his vehicle, which often took way too long. For all these reasons, I cut my 17-day stay short after 3 days and went to a different hotel, a block away, that was infinitely better and cost me $70 less per night. Please get this place back up to standards.

My husband and I stayed here a couple of years ago and then I stayed here last year for business. I don’t know what happened to this place-but it’s not good! Tried to call to see if I could check in two hours early and no one answered. Tried to call about ten times. Never an answer. Got to the lobby-valet was no where to be found and neither was the person working the first desk. They finally showed back up and I got checked in and got my car key to the valet. Checked into the first room and the TV didn’t work. No big deal. I tried to call the front desk-no answer. Went down to ask about it and I was given an “upgraded room.” I moved my stuff, but the upgraded room only had one lamp that worked, most of the plugs didn’t work that TV didn’t work either and it just felt and looked dirty. I didn’t want to ask for another room since I had already been moved once, so I sit at the desk and get out my computer to work. I look up and see someone’s wet, dirty washcloth hanging on the shower rod. I try to call the front desk - no answer. I thought I would just deal with it because I don’t really want to be “that” person. Later on that night, I went to wash my face and the faucet handles don’t work and I could only get warm water-not hot. Anyways, I tried to just make the most of it. I go to get a shower the next morning and try to move that washcloth without touching it and get in the shower only to find a used bar of soap. So gross. Luckily I was checking out after one night’s stay. Call the valet to get my car and the smell of weed was so strong when I got in, I probably got a contact high from being in there. Needless to say a wasted $200 and I will not stay here again.

I echo other reviews on this site and should have read them in advance. In short, stay elsewhere. This is nothing like a typical Hampton Inn. They are usually basic but clean and new and a good choice to stop for a night. This Hampton is located inside what was apparently the top hotel in Montgomery in the 1920s. A lot has changed! We arrived and I had to wake up the attendant at the desk. Front desk service was uniformly rude. I'm a Hilton Gold member (not a big deal) but status never recognized. I was entitled to get free bottles of water but the front desk clerk said they had run out despite there being bottles for sale in the convenience store right off the lobby. The initial room we were assigned was pitch black when we entered. We opened the drapes and discovered that there was a 4 ft. by 4ft. electric generator one foot from the window, blocking all light and surely noisy at times. We were only there for 1 night but still insisted on changing rooms. The second room we were given was badly in need of a refresh. Veneer had peeled off some of the furniture and the rest was scuffed and chipped. No safe or mini fridge in room. Room palette is a range of browns, carpet is dirty. Drapes don't fully close and curtains in the hallway window were torn. Bathroom is a bit dingy (I should note that outside our room was a sign designating it as a room for people with disabilities but the entry was quite narrow and bathroom had a tub, not a walk-in shower which you would have expected). Breakfast buffet is not very good. Reheated frozen "omelets" and industrial processed sausage patties. Mediocre coffee. They do have a machine where you can make your own waffle, which probably would have been a better choice. Finally, after checking out online through the Hilton app I glanced at the portfolio I was sent via email only to see that I had been charged $50 more per night than quoted in my online reservation. The hotel reimbursed me after I called and complained but how did that happen?

Pretty disappointed with the hotel. We had a reservation but they overbooked our room and had to scramble to find accommodations for us. Our bathroom had urine dried on the floor next to the toilet as well as under the toilet seat and old trash in the can. We asked the front desk politely for our bathroom to be cleaned, and though there is evidence that someone came through our bathroom there is still dried urine on our floor. Furthermore, the air conditioning does not work. The room is like a sauna with the thermostat set as cold as it can go. Overall a very negative experience thus far. Staff is perfectly friendly and kind, but the accommodations leave a lot to be desired.

I wish I had read the reviews BEFORE I paid $200 for a night's stay. The location is great but plan on paying $30 for valet because on-street parking is very limited. The lobby was nice but that's where the good part of this stay ends. The rooms are old, in desperate need of good cleanings and new flooring and the presence of mold and dust caused health issue the entire night. There was active mold growing on the bathroom ceiling, something we did not see until the next morning as we checked in late at night. Trash was on the floor and the entire room was dusty and dirty. The carpet looked like it was from the 1980s. DO NOT STAY HERE.
