The room on the first floor was very comfortable and quiet. It looks like it was recently updated. They are still working on the common areas, but no work was going on while we were here (arrived after 6pm). The gym is small but it has the equipment you need for a workout. Unfortunately, the breakfast was just a little lacking, not too many options. The kitchen attendant was very sweet and accommodating, it's just that they didn't have scrambled eggs and biscuits, only cheese omelette and pork sausage, which I don't eat. I was able to get oatmeal, so I didn't leave hungry. It could be that they just weren't serving scrambled eggs today.

Total dump! Everything was tiny- the rooms, the hallways, the 1 single elevator, the lobby. Really in need of updating. They told us there was a pool when we booked- there is no pool. Another family we met there said the same thing happened to them. The area was super sketchy, lots of homeless people wandering the area. The only positive was that the staff were pretty friendly- especially the 2 women who ran the breakfast. But I would not stay here again.

I had to travel for work and chose this place to stay overnight. I chose this place because they had a work-out room that has a treadmill. When I got there, the person at the front desk was nice and got me my room. I asked about the special request that I made the day before and they said they got it. I thanked them for that. I room was clean and simple, the way I like it. They also have black out curtains that work really well. There was construction going on at the time but it did not bother me. The workout room was not big and had 1 treadmill but there wasn't anyone there when I was working out so it worked out. The only ask would be if I could have gotten a response to let me know that they received my request because when I got there, I wasn't sure if they got it or if I put in the wrong information.

I really enjoyed my 16 days at the Holiday Inn Express location. It was easy access from the interstate and there was plenty of free parking (compared to $30 night day at downtown hotels). This hotel’s secret weapon is Mona in the breakfast section…she was absolutely amazing!! She went out of her way to make the guests feel welcome. The highlight of my day was talking to her in the morning. If you stay here, say hi to Mona…she is great! Overall, I recommend this hotel…it is a great place at a great price with wonderful staff.

Arrived in a driving rainstorm to find a pick-up truck parked under the front overhang and not going anywhere; was told it was the owner's. Not a good first impression and not the only time it was parked under the overhang for an extended period. A lot of ground floor renovation going on, perhaps accounting for the room price. Check-in & check out was efficient & friendly. Room was standard except for no coffee maker. One has to get dressed, go down the hall, wait for the elevator, go to the dining area, etc. Not the best way to start the morning. Didn't do breakfast; no white bread for toast. I expect to return to Montgomery for research at Maxwell AFB; unlikely to use this Holiday Inn again.

While the renovation caused some issues for me, the room was clean and the bed was comfy. But those pillows are AMAZING!!!!!!!! I don't think Ive ever had a better pillow in an IHG hotel!

However, 3- stars because I couldn't get to my room one night due to the side door being inoperable and the renovation blocking off the hallway. Maybe close the first floor if you're renovating it?

The hotel is finishing up a renovation, that is great for patrons. Very friendly staff here. The room was nice and clean, but needs more hooks for towels, none in the bathroom. The breakfast was extremely limited. Other than that it is conveniently located from the I-85 and recommend.

The hotel and staff are great. Very clean, comfortable. The breakfast was hot and fresh but prepare to wait in line for coffee with the new machine -- ground fresh per cup. The staff will bus the table and help you get things if needed. I recommend this hotel.
