A great hotel at a great price. Clean, friendly staff, excellent breakfast area. There is also a Comfort Inn almost next door, but this for me is as good at a lower price (or fewer points). Sleep Inns tend to have just showers not tubs but that is not an issue for me. I am a frequent Choice Hotels traveler, and this one is one of the best I've stayed at. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

My husband is disabled and in a power chair. When booking we asked for an accessible room and requested a roll in or walk in shower. My husband triple checked with the person he booked with and was told it had an accessible shower. When we got there it was a tub so he was unable to use it. The room was also very small with tiny walkways so he could barley maneuver his chair through the room. They are not set up for for handicapped individuals. Very disappointing.

I called to make a reservation last Thursday, for this past Saturday. Asked the guy for a king bed with roll in shower...since I am in a wheelchair. Asked him a total of three times, "you're sure it's a shower and not a tub? Yes, yes, it's a roll in shower."
Guess what? Freaking bath tub!
Does anyone even care anymore? This is completely ridiculous!

This happened at a choice hotel north of New Orleans as well!

Guess choice hotels is now off my list!

We just stayed at the millbrook/Prattville location and had someone try to come into our room at 8:30am. We arrived late around 2:30am so we were still asleep. This of course startled us. When I asked the front desk who tried to come into my room this morning she said probably housekeeping. She could not give me a clear understanding why someone would be coming in my room before checkout which is at 11:00am. This is absolutely unacceptable!!

This is a decent place for an overnight stay. Convenient location. Clean and affordable. The beds are not super comfortable but ok. Everything else was great.

False advertising. There is no functional pool despite their advertisements. If you look at previous reviews you will see that this is an ongoing scam and when people complain the hotel gives the exact same lame copy-and-paste apology response but do nothing to actually fix the scam. They are preying on tired travelers who dont want to have to find another hotel or dont realize its a scam until after they are past the cancellation date. I will be turning them in to the Better Business Bureau or whatever oversight institution is responsible for investigating fraudulent hotel business practices as soon as I get home. Needless to say we went elsewhere and you should do the same, even if you don't care about the pool (or lack thereof) because if they are scamming on this GARANTEED they are scamming on other things.

This property violates federal labor laws by paying their front desk employees under the table. The owner does not handle legitimate complaints from guests but insist on screaming at them. Sadly since this is Alabama I doubt no state or federal agency will investigate them.
