Thissss place is spectacular.., Everything was absolutely amazing, the service was fantastic the waitress was very attentive and helpful, my family was very pleased with the quality of food let me say Mr. Butter Bean really set the mark so very high I am so excited I enjoyed every bite and the history on the walls .. a plus.. I recommend 100% if you haven’t tried this place let me tell you it’s worth the drive..

First, let me say that we always eat at Mr. Beans whenever we're in Jasper and have always had a good experience. My husband asked where I would like to eat for Mother's day and I requested to go to Mr. Beans. So, after working a 12 hour night shift in a health care facility, we drove 45 minutes for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised that there were empty tables and we were seated right away. Our server brought our drinks and took our order quickly. Then, things took a turn. We waited and waited for our food, servers passing by us with no acknowledgement, and diners who were seated after us were getting their food. We were finally able to get our servers attention and were advised that she had given our table to another server. Meanwhile, the initial server kept the table behind us. We could hear her flirt with the 2 men, tease for tips, and complain about not having enough help. (I work in health care, so don't get me started about not enough help). Turns out, our food was ready but no one had bothered to check because our new server seemed unaware that she had our table. The steaks were cooked to perfection as usual so that was the only saving grace. We felt that we slipped through the cracks, which is a shame because we tip well, sometimes 100%. We plan to give Mr. Beans another chance, as we hope that this was a fluke and does not become the norm. Otherwise, we'll patronize another establishment.

Me and my husband went here for the first time to try it because we heard good things about this place. We were very disappointed in the service and how long it took to get food. We got our appetizer at a reasonable time. We were there for nearly a hour and didn’t get our main meal. The server only came to our table once this hole time . They didn’t seem very busy either .

This place is awesome!! Not only was our server great so was the bartender. I ordered a med well NY Strip steak with salad and baked potato and I was happy I didn’t have to send my steak back so koodos to the chef! Everything came out on time friendly environment. Definitely will be back!!!

So I went here today with my son, ordered a Chicken Finger plate with corn nuggets and okra. The chicken was cooked perfectly and taste great. Okra was cooked perfect just needed a tiny bit of salt but still very good. Now the corn nuggets well, they was cooked well but was a bit to sweet for my taste. My son enjoyed them so it was really just them not being my style so will try different side next time. The service and music was awesome as well. Enjoyable experience.

Enjoyed the BBQ sandwich I had a lot. I do see why a lot of reviews complain about the time it takes to be seated- the front desk seems to be left uncovered for too long at a time. I was lucky to be seated after only a few minutes but during busy times I can see how this can become a big problem. Also, they're a bit chinsy with the fries/onion rings portions.
Other than that, I liked it a lot. Cool vibe, great food, and nice staff. Check it out.

Best baked beans I've ever had. The steak was a tad on the salty side but it was still super tender and awesome. Adding some collard greens to the menu would have really topped this steak off. A solid 4.5 stars! The bartender was pretty cool too. A couple of pinball machines would put this place over the top!

I really liked this place. The stakes are amazing, very large and everyone seem to be ordering them bring them. I had a ribbon sandwich which was very tasty and there and there pulled pork was pretty good. I would say the sauce could use a little work. Very nice staff.
