Wow! What a SUPER find in Alabama at Springwood Inn! I found this beautiful B&B while planning my Christmas road trip. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by Carolyn and Bob Orchid, the BEST hosts ever. I was so looking forward to attending their Christmas Tea but I arrived too late just as it was wrapping up. No problem for them, though. They had me set up and served with nice hot tea and tasty snacks within minutes of my arrival! It was a scrumptious treat after a long day of travel. I appreciated you going out of your way to ensure I enjoyed your tea party! The lovely southern mansion was so beautifully decorated for Christmas. Carolyn showed me all around and my room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and just what I needed for another long travel day. Bob recommended a couple of nearby museums that were fantastic! I only wish I had planned to stay longer. I look forward to a return trip in fairer weather for a longer stay to enjoy the beautiful grounds, exquisite home, great breakfast, and company of new friends! Thank-you Carolyn and Bob for making me feel so at home so far away from home.

We cannot say enough compliments about this amazing place and amazing couple! My sisters and I stayed at Springwood Inn in the fall. We hadn't seen each other in months and this was a great place for a sweet reunion. We told them it was my sisters' birthdays and they surprised us with cupcakes, candles, and cards. Bob and Carolyn really made us feel like family.

The breakfasts were amazing. The dishes were so lovely and each setting was a delight. The cinnamon rolls Carolyn made are now legendary in my family. They also accommodated my sister's request for gluten free. We took photos of the breakfasts since they were so inspiring.

We enjoyed hiking and exploring the little town. We were unfamiliar with this part of Alabama and were amazed at the natural beauty. Bob recently installed a disc golf course and we had fun exploring the grounds while also playing a game.

Last note, I had just had my daughter two months earlier and they kindly let me bring along my baby. We are looking forward to coming back as soon as we can!

This was just the BEST experience ever!?!🥰 My sister and our husbands were in town for a few days to surprise our Mother for her 80th birthday. When we arrived, Carolyn greeted my husband and I with the warmest welcome. She and her husband Bob showed us around their beautiful home and made sure we had everything we could possibly need during our stay. They were super accommodating and flexible with our crazy schedule, offering us a delicious breakfast each morning at the time most convenient for us. Our rooms were very clean and inviting….beds & pillows were also very comfortable.🙂 They even had a small refrigerator stocked with drinks and snacks which was located in the most quaint little library on the second floor near our bedrooms. (Coffee too!) My sister and I really enjoyed the porch where breakfast was served in the morning. (The table was set with a different set of beautiful dishes every morning!?) Even though you are just minutes from shopping/restaurants, etc…..you still feel like you are away from it all and nestled in your own private oasis with stunning views of the mountains from the front porch. The best part about this beautiful B & B was hands down- our Host/Hostess, Carolyn and Bob. They made us feel like family….and after our stay here, we feel like they ARE family!🥰 We definitely would recommend this wonderful Bed & Breakfast…true Southern Hospitality!?! You made our stay there and our trip home to celebrate our Mom very Special and we can’t thank you enough Carolyn & Bob ……until next time!😘

Mrs. Carolyn and her husband are awesome and so delightful! They were so easy to reach/contact & extremely welcoming! It is located in Anniston, but you feel like you are secluded----the scenery from the balcony is gorgeous--a view of the Cheaha Mountains. I stayed in the Dr. Lightfoot room---so quaint and pretty. I really enjoyed the dental sink & the large showerhead in the bathroom. It was upstairs & very spacious. There is also a very nice library with snacks, coffee, etc. at your disposal. The breakfast was in the formal dining room-- it was a chilly morning. Mrs. Carolyn decorated beautifully and made the most delicious breakfast with many choices; her husband was a top notch waiter for us--we felt like royalty. I really can't fully describe how special and precious this time was at the Springwood Inn! I highly recommend it to anyone visiting anywhere near Anniston.

If I could give Springwood Inn more than a five Star rating, I would. The owners, Carolyn and Bob Orchid, immediately make you feel at home. It felt as if we had known them for years. The Inn itself is comfortable, beautifully decorated and historic. And the breakfasts are incredibly delicious, the Orchids prepare everything themselves, Carolyn’s cinnamon rolls are to die for😊. I could go on and on, but I think you get the picture. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, please book your time at Springwood Inn. We are going back in 2024.

We stayed here overnight as we attended a wedding. I have sensitivities to fragrance and the owners satisfied me that they didn't use fragrance candles or air fresheners. Upon entering I could 'smell' that it was true! The home is such a Southern gem that you might feel like you've been taken back in time! Bob and Carolyn are both very personable and thoughtful. Our breakfast truly delicious, full of flavor and color!! Well worth our stay!

We stopped here overnight on our way back from a roadtrip through the South. We could not have wished for a better end to our travels. Carolyn and Bob´s B&B is truly a hidden gem! The house is gorgeous inside and has a wonderful view overlooking tree-tops and a mountain. Plus, it has the advantage of feeling totally secluded but not being too far off the beaten path.

Our room was super cozy and the breakfast was great! Highly recommend! One tip: Book directly with Carolyn and Bob for the best rate -- we got a much better price with them than with any other third party booking website.

If you enjoy a traditional B&B experience, this will be your favorite place to stay ever. Bob and Carolyn truly treat you as though you are a family member or dear friend.||The home is beautiful. Pictures don't do it justice. It is grand, yet comfortable. The garden/property is perfectly tended by Bob, with magical touches everywhere. Lots of fountains, ponds, places to sit, and fragrant flowers.||Breakfast is a three-course meal, which changed daily. We opted to enjoy it on the back porch, which is also where we were treated to wine and cheese in the evening. Carolyn loves to entertain, so expect thoughtful touches at every turn.||Our room was so comfortable. And I was pleased with so many details. Soft towels. Thoughtful toiletries. A stocked fridge in the nearby library with drinks and snacks.||We spent three nights and didn't want to leave. If you are heading to this region, I urge you to stay here.
