Had a really enjoyable stay here. Combined personal travel with work travel and from the moment I arrived until I left felt kind of VIP. At check in the associate spent time accommodating my requests and even at checkout a different associate patiently worked through charges for work versus personal. Clean and comfortable room. The only thing I wasn't expecting were sirens. Apparently there's a hospital nearby. Food and beverage credit worked perfectly too. Was able to redeem at the bar on the lower level (with the awesome Shane), Starbucks in the lobby, or the snack shop. Very convenient! Super friendly shuttle drivers too. Plus, the 90 Connector bus has stops directly in front. Only 30 cents a ride running north and south. Felt like a safe neighborhood. Thank you!

As a Hilton employee from another state, when I arrived, I expected, “Welcome” or “Hello”, the lady was not rude but not friendly. She barely said anything, gave me my keys and I went to my room. The lady the following day was rude. I would expect a “good morning” or some pleasant greeting, but instead, she told me to stop talking when I was trying to explain my situation and what I needed. When others in my party walked up, she spoke nicer to them. I guess fellow employees don’t deserve kindness? The check out person was a lot nicer than the first two. My hotel gives a food credit so I’m not sure if I had one, no one said I did. Parking was $15/day. I was charged an extra $100, I guess for incidentals but no one explained that to me. The whole experience was lacking.

Incredible service!! The AC in my room wasn't working. I let the front desk know and she said they'd send a tech right away. It was 8:30pm. Sure enough, a tech was there within 5 minutes. He immediately addressed the problem and had the AC fixed within 20 minutes. Amazing service, especially since I was preparing to go to sleep soon! They were all very apologetic and kind throughout the whole event.

Stayed in a handicap room, and the roll in shower was perfect. The room was a bit tight with a transport wheelchair so it would be difficult with a full-size wheelchair. The room did show signs of wear and tear. Stayed here for the location. We needed to be close to the University of Alabama Kirkland Clinic.

I am very disappointed with the overall experience, considering this was at a Hilton with a respectable 4-star hotel rating.

A continuous power outage occurred in my room (12th floor) and on most floors (my colleagues on 8th and 14th floors as well) of the hotel on my stay from 05/15/25-05/16/25, lasting throughout the majority of the night and persisting all morning, even after checkout at 12pm. I was proactive and reported the issue to management early in the morning in-person (room phone did not work), which were apologetic and had technicians trying to resolve the problem.

However, as a customer there for a 2-day on-site convention and as an overnight hotel guest, I felt I did not receive the experience/amenities I paid for. I still had to endure 8 hours+ of power outage. I inquired about a refund for the hotel and was offered 10k points to which I feel is unsatisfactory, even as a Hilton Honor's member.

I had a lost of work productivity, unsafe experience navigating in the darkness of my room, a humid environment, difficult time packing up to not leave my personal belongings, and inability to iron/use the hair dryer to prepare for my presentation at the convention on the lower levels of this facility.

I would have had a lot more leniency had there been adverse weather or some other act of god that caused the power outage in the area, but other businesses nearby and other floors of this hotel had full power, such as the convention level and lobby. Moreover, it is of my opinion that the power outage could have been ameliorated by the hotel if it had adequate backup power, but that was not the case for my room (and many others) and the outage persisted for more than 8 hours.

The power outage is understandable, but the inability to render services as described and it's subsequent asymmetrical offer of 10k Hilton Honors points felt almost insulting.

Overall, I found it unacceptable that I was not offered another room with power or a refund after considering the entirety of the aforementioned circumstances.

I am still open to resolving this issue as of 05/18/2025, but I had already given initial opportunities to on-site management on 05/16/2025 (offered 10k points) and Hilton's customer service phone-line on 05/18/2025 (also offered 10k points) chances to resolve my case before writing this review.

No microwave that we requested until the morning we checked out. Front desk guy checking us in was rude. The guard or security man downstairs that night was rude when we were walking our dog. No chairs on the balcony. No TV options except Hilton’s and what Hilton decides for you. When I ask about the TV situation to the front desk guy, he curtly replied “It is to encourage sleep”.- I asked what about accommodating your guests? He just glared at me.
So if you want to watch a show like White Lotus on Max - GOOD LUCK. Make sure when you come to stay to bring toiletries like extra soap, lotion, toothpaste, mouthwash, etc. Also make sure you double triple check your bill from the sneaky add-ons that will arise. Our $200 a night stay turned into almost $400. The cleaning staff however were very nice.

Room was great (clean, comfortable, easily accessible), staff was friendly. Good safe location off the highway. The downside is the LOUD ambulance sirens ALL. DAMN. NIGHT. Then to top it all off, housekeeping was knocking at my door at 8:30am. Really? $15 for parking per night as well. If every other hotel in the area wasn’t twice as much, I’d stay somewhere else next time. Definitely not the experience I was hoping for after being on the road for 13 hours with 7 more hours the next day.

The room was good quality and appeared to be newly refurbed. The check in experience was weird. They didn’t ask for an ID even before checking me in. There are rehabs going on in the hotel which should have been communicated prior to checking in. The rooms facing University are extremely loud at night.

The Lab Bar and Kitchen was unfortunate. The food was fantastic. Not terribly unreasonably priced for a hotel restaurant but the service was absolutely terrible. The bartender clearly did not want to be there. He ignored our group for about 15 minutes and there were only 4 other people in the entire restaurant beside us.
