Avenue D Events went above our expectations for our wedding reception. Laura and Chuck were communicative and helpful throughout the entire process of renting. The venue was beautiful and the outdoor space had a great view of the historic Sloss Furnace. Very affordable and the customer service is excellent.

Just had my wedding at Avenue D, and I couldn't be happier! The size of this venue is just right, the owners (Laura & Chuck) are amazing and care for each event on a personal level, and the space is so beautiful. Their bridal suite on the 2nd floor gives you not only a fantastic spot to get ready all day, but my husband and I were able to use it as a quiet refuge to eat dinner before our reception began. We had a ceremony earlier in the day on the back patio, and it was an ideal spot for the intimate moment with immediate family. The reception was both indoor and outdoor, and - though we had approx. 175 people - it never once felt cramped! Tables, a 5-piece band, dancefloor, multiple bars, food stations, a photobooth, everything. This venue is also in a great location, too. It has tons of parking, is safe, and has a beautiful view of Sloss. Also, if any wedding planners are reading this - the owners are AWESOME about coordinating and communicating with your other vendors when needed. They make your job a whole lot easier, and they're very hands-on the day-of. I will always recommend this place to people in the future - for whatever type of event they're having! Also, have ya SEEN THE BATHROOMS?! Obsessed.

Avenue D Events was a fabulous location for our company Casino Night Christmas Party! Laura and Chuck are absolutely wonderful - a pleasure to work with throughout the process from beginning to end. The venue's features are beautiful, and the location is excellent. The gorgeous outdoor area was beautifully lit, and they have numerous tower heat lamps to keep away the chill. The night was truly perfect, and we can't thank Laura and Chuck enough! Highly recommend this venue for your special event!

Beautiful event space with wonderful amenities in a very central location! Was more than perfect for our baby shower and offered the aesthetic that we were looking for at a reasonable price! Also enjoyed the flexibility they offer when it comes to vendors.

We had our wedding reception at Avenue D Events and it was amazing. Our vendors were able to execute everything flawlessly. It was a wonderful event! I would recommend to any bride especially for wedding parties between 100-150 people. It was the perfect amount of space!

WBHM held a reception at Avenue D Events as part of the NABJ conference here in Birmingham. From start to finish, Laura and Chuck were fabulous to work with. They've created a very unique and flexible event space here in Birmingham and we couldn't have been happier. We anticipated having about 100-120 people for a few hours and the space worked perfectly. If anything, we under utilized the incredible patio space (with a FABULOUS VIEW), just because it was so hot. (Welcome to Alabama in August...).

Their pricing is extremely reasonable as well. We'll certainly be using them for more events in the future. I hope you'll consider using them as well for your future event needs.

We just had our wedding at the end of March, and Avenue D was the perfect place for us! We had a hard time looking for a more affordable venue, but once we found Avenue D we knew it was the one. The venue is such a beautiful space and it was just what we needed for our micro-wedding of 50 guests. We opted for the basic wedding venue package (which was more affordable than other venues in the Birmingham area), also gave us a lovely upstairs VIP space for me to put on my dress and do finishing touches.

I had a set plan with DIYing all my decor, and Laura and Samantha were super great about letting me and my bridal party come in the previous day after our wedding rehearsal to set up all the table decor for the wedding the next day. They were so nice and helped out so much (steaming pros, haha)!! Both of them constantly checked in to see if there was anything else they could do to help and you could really tell that they cared about making sure everything looked perfect.

On the day of, Samantha was really amazing with making sure we kept on schedule and everything was running smoothly. Everyone is still telling us how they had a great time! Our wedding couldn't have been more perfect. Thank you so much to Laura, Chuck, and Samantha!!

P.S. Laura - let me know if you still want that teal carpet coaster from the Aladdin table, I'll send it to you haha!
