This was probably one of my more unique hotel stays and not in a good way. First I want to say all of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. When we were able to snag street parking directly in front of the hotel the desk lady came outside to let us know it was indeed a legit and good spot.

The hotel in it's prime was likely very very nice. I booked this without looking at reviews but based on past experiences with this brand. But this property has slipped way outside of the brand expectations. It is very rough around the edges. Very rough. That said our room was absolutely huge. A beautiful corner room. The furnishings were nice but things like absolutely filthy HVAC vents and damaged flooring. Peeling wallpaper and signs attached to the wall with no concern for level. The room was clean though. I was impressed with the addition of a acoustic window to help with street noise.

The omelet that I had at breakfast was absolutely incredible. I have had my fair share of omelets at hotels but a few days later I can still picture this one. It was that good. 🙂

Of particular note was the elevator. One car made noises I've never heard before and vibrations I've never felt before. That said we did ride in that car several times. It was like a old wooden roller coaster. You knew you probably won't die but it's going to be a wild ride. It's astounding they would allow an elevator to operate in this condition.

The hotel needs a complete reset and make over. Or change brands.

I read the reviews after it was too late to cancel so I was a little concerned, but our experience was better than others described. Some positives were the room was nice and clean. We could hear street noise, but we travel with a white noise machine, so even though I heard it, it didn't keep me up. And I didn't think it was that bad anyway. We used the valet service, but there is a parking garage behind the building so use that if you come here! Most of the people working there were not out-going or friendly, but they weren't rude either. However, the woman working the breakfast area was super nice! One thing we found odd was how dark the lobby was. During check-in, it was so dark! There was a smidge more light when we checked out. It was not very welcoming at all and I don't understand the reasoning behind that decision. I say add better lighting! Overall, we were not impressed with the surrounding area, and that would keep us from coming back to this hotel. But if you are in town to go to Five Points, this wouldn't be so bad.

Check in was good but that’s where it ends. Front desk clerk was nice. They control your temperature in your room. As a business travel customer I don’t want to call the front desk every time I want to go from 75 to 70. Fan in room blew all night. It’s loud outside but I guess I should have done a little research. The show didn’t have any body wash had the body balm which is lotion in the shower luckily I keep a bar or two in my travel from my travels. I never write reviews so I will yall with that. Staff is nice I just won’t be staying there again.

Couldn't have asked for better service. The room was very clean and comfortable. Joston was kind and helpful along with Marcie who handled our valet service. We stayed at Hotel Indigo because we had a family member that was having surgery at UAB. If you want some good cooking, Ms Deloris won't let you down.

This was a great location in town, many good eateries within walking distance and that was convenient. Our 1 bedroom suite was perfect for 2 people, beds and pillows were comfortable and bathroom was quite spacious. The walk in shower was very nice with very good shower head , very fast and hot, hot water. We slept well as heard no noise on the floor 5. Will stay again if in Birmingham.

Our experience was so bad we just left. Room was so hot that we could not stay. Thermostats are locked and managed downstairs. Called down and they said they would adjust. After several hours of it not cooling went back to complain. They send maintenance, which he was great. Problem was lack of Freon for our floor. Front desk knew of problem and lied to us. It only got warmer and we had to leave. Honesty goes a long way. Do not stay here.

The rooms are fine and look similar to the pictures and everything was clean. However, the thermostat cannot be changed (like most hotels) which is fine, except for the fact it was set to not blow air at all. So it is currently extremely hot in here with no ability to fix it. Please fix this, there have been several comments on this. It doesn’t have to be unlocked, just turn the damn air on. I shouldn't have to take a cold shower multiple times a day because I’m drenched in sweat when I should be comfortable.

Poor staff service. Including valet service and bar. Unable to control room temperature. Had to call front desk to adjust comfort level. Room was great. Nicely decorated and clean. Elevators filthy. Coffee maker didn’t work, did receive free coffee from restaurant as substitute..
