The music was easy on the ears!
Early enough wasn't crowded or noisy.
The food was tasty and easy to munch.
I had the Avocado egg salad tartine.

Cecilia our server/cashier was very informative, helpful and kind. I don’t even know how she has all that information in her brain. I just thought it was odd that some lady in a blue puffy coat comes through the back area and start grazing like a cow at the food prep counter just a little disgusting.

We came here for the first time to see how the food was.... the food does not look like the pictures. The cook DOES NOT know how to prepare a grilled cheese or anything with cheese for that fact. The sandwiches were supposed to be hot, grilled on the press with melted cheese throughout..it was a COLD "grilled"cheese. My sandwich was supposed to be hot and grilled on the press. The cheese wasn't melted and was cold...hopefully this review improves the quality in the future and represents the pictures displayed on Google..further training with the cook is a MUST for this company to prosper. I did buy my wife the nutter butter cookie, she said it was phenomenal. I will definitely come back in a few weeks to see if the food improves, at that point I will update and change my review.

So far I love everything I've ordered . From the Pannies to the PB&J with bacon and the cheddar Pastrami.. love the nutter butters and the red bulls.. owner is super nice and accommodating.

Was driving through Susanville and spotted Blue Ox as one of few easily-visible places for lunch/coffee. The staff was super-friendly. We got a panini and veggie bagel - both excellent. The coffee was high quality - well above "roadside diner coffee." (not to bash roadside diners, which I also love!).

The chocolates from the accompanying chocolate shop were excellent. From the historical account of the chocolate-making practice on the walls, it's clear there's a strong history, and the chocolates are not a hobby or afterthought.

If I had one minor complaint, it would be the use of plastic clamshell containers for dining in, and plastic utensil set. Though I believe the place was in a "soft opening," and may not have been fully set up for dishwashing yet.

I got a grilled chicken sandwich, and it tasted really good, but I couldn't finish it because the chicken on the second half was pretty undercooked. 🙁

First time being here prices were average coffee shop prices the three employees were super nice the place was clean atmosphere was very cozy food and drinks were very delicious
