lady at the front lobby was rude as heck and very unprofessional. she was very sloppy. nowwww don’t get me started with the guy. he was also very unprofessional and rude. i asked for a refund after we had a horrible experience, cops were even involved. OH and he even had the audacity to yell at me over the phone and did not care about the whole situation. we called the cops since the front lobby workers weren’t doing anything about a man bleeding from his head and yelling for help. it was a very traumatizing experience. i don’t recommend this place at all. also there were a bunch of prostitutes next door to us causing all this ruckus. was not able to sleep after this crazy experience and we were too scared to even walk out to our car to leave at night. ohhh and it smelled horrible!!!! make them go out of business!!!!! these people are just money hungry and don’t actually care about their customers.

The only good thing about this place was it was easy on the wallet and was the only vacancy I could find!!!! If I could give this zero stars I would!!!

Pros—internet worked, ac blew cold

Cons—it’s a dump! It’s run down, smells of mold and cigarettes. The shower/sink had holes and cracks in it, the shampoo/soap containers were broken, found hair everywhere in shower on my sheets, definitely wasn’t cleaned well, I even found a cockroach 🪳. The tv sound goes in and out (my neighbor said his tv had the same issues).
You have to pay an additional $50 as a deposit even though I paid in full online before I arrived.
The lady owner in the lobby is extremely rude. I asked to exchange 2 dimes and a nickel for a quarter so I could get a soda from their machine outside the lobby and she screamed at me. My neighbor states that she asked the lady at the lobby counter for a towel as they only had one in their room and was yelled at.

Pay the extra money or drive further to find a better place to stay!

HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, NO DESIRE TO HELP, NON-PERSONABLE!!!

The front desk is extremely rude and non-personable. I was confirming that we were getting the most affordable room and they went on a rant literally raising their voice and screaming at me how they would charge $100 more at this other place and $200 more at another… he said he was “tired of answering these stupid questions” (I had only asked the one time).

It’s not like I was asking for an extra discount, they just weren’t hearing me out, again I was just confirming if we were getting the most affordable room THEY had available and I was extremely shocked and offended that I was being yelled at about a simple question.

Save your time and energy and just book elsewhere, honestly.

Worst hotel experience… Manger and god wife are extremely rude. She told me ‘you can’t come to the window to ask for anything. We have a life, you can’t bother us’ you life is living here at the hotel running a business. Why would you be so rude to people who pay over 120 a night at your business. Extremely unprofessional.. also was roaches in room and mold in handicap shower. They need to be reported to health inspector.

I stayed here for some work in the area. You can hear your neighbors quite easily unfortunately. The room seem to be very clean although there were footprints on the ceiling. There were touch up on paint issues on the ceiling not only just for the footprints. Nick manager was very helpful and kind if it was just me coming back to work, I just needed a bed to sleep in nothing else. I would come back. But if I brought my family it would probably be at a different location.

Spent a night and found the place quite clean and comfortable. Was a little put off by the very draconian signs warning that no visitors were permitted, but I wasn't planning any and if you're looking for a good night's sleep, a no-visitor policy is probably a good thing. Indeed, I was not disturbed by noise at all.

The TV worked fine. Did not attempt to use the fridge or microwave. The bathroom was very clean and featured lots and lots of hot water. The overhead light turned out to be on a timer and I had a moment trying to find the switch on the bedside lamp, but I guess it's a harmless enough way to keep prices competitive... it was just unexpected.

Props for the alarm clock and the armchair and footstool were comfortable if a bit shabby. The sink did gradually fill as I ran water into it but I had to work at it to make this happen; I washed some plastic stuff at the sink while I was there. I'd say drainage was completely adequate for the average face washing or tooth brushing and emptied the sink within a couple of seconds when I turned the water off.

All in all, it seems I either got a much better room than the previous reviewers, or they have been working on the complaints.

DO NOT STAY HERE. I was searching for a place strategically in Watsonville and chose to save a little bit of money because I thought to myself "Eh, It's only for one night." My reservations were made online for a total $145.00 and posted to my credit card. When we arrived, the lady at the front window (that you could barely hear or understand because the tiny port to exchange credit cards is covered up and they refuse to let you inside the office) stated she didn't have my reservation. She said there was only 1 room left for $181.00. After showing her my rsvp confirmation information, she would not honor my prior online contract. We needed a room and therefore, I was forced to being overcharged $35 more. She did refund the $145 but I believe my credit card information was compromised. A few days later, I had fraudulent charges on my Visa for > $900.00.

I wouldn't doubt the tactic is used often here to charge people more because she did find my reservation later but it was too late.

There are a lot of questionable people at the motel. The outlets in the room are unreliable and are incapable of charging your phone unless you hold it exactly in place. The toilet was broken, sink was cracked. We dared not to sleep under the blankets for fear of creatures. Poor customer service, arguing with customers is customary.

I usually would not write such a review that question business ethics but the practice here with the interactions I experienced and witnessed while waiting in line were sketchy.

There is a nice Seafood Restaurant called the Fish House Bar and Grill in the same parking lot and the Cowboy Corner Cafe right next door.

Terrible for the price. The room was rough, half used TP, no mattress cover, headboard to the bed worn away as if someone had been chained /hand cuffed up for a long session, finish and wood worn totally off . Caulking and paint dried up and scuffed, beyond anything the hard working housekeeping crew could fix. For the price it was awful. I checked out and didn't use my 2nd night, they still charged, and didn't respond to 2 e-mails.$220 for a room like this is insane and totally misleading.
