I’ve had the pleasure of working two events at The Brothers Ranch, and it’s such a wonderful venue! The property is lush, vibrant, and so well cared for. It feels like a tropical escape in the heart of Santa Cruz/Monterey region.

The ceremony and reception spaces are conveniently close, making things easy for both guests and vendors. The bridal suite is beautifully lit for getting ready shots, and there are endless scenic spots for photos throughout the day.

Best of all, Jessie and Jonathan are incredibly warm and thoughtful hosts. You can feel how much they care about creating a great experience for every couple! Highly Recommend!

Jessie and Jonathan were amazing to work with and they had great communication. They gave us great vendor recommendations. The venue is so beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for a better place for our wedding. We love the Brothers Ranch!!!

Seriously the hottest up-and-coming venue in the entire Monterey Bay area - where the beautiful and unique grounds are only the surface! Every aspect of the venue has been carefully thought out to accommodate the wedding party, guests, and vendors perfectly. The tropical foliage of the ceremony lawn offered a stunning backdrop for our vows (plus the sweet scent that wafts from nearby strawberry fields). The reception area was the perfect size and layout for our guests to eat, drink, play games, and dance throughout the night - cozy but spacious at the same time. Brothers Ranch was so beautiful and so well designed that we really didn’t need many of our own decorations. Also a huge plus for us was having access to the space for the entire weekend (Friday-Sunday) so we had plenty of time for setup and we didn’t have to worry about cleanup at the end of our wedding night!

But the true heart of this venue is Jessie and Jonathan Brothers. More gracious hosts than venue owners, they helped us every step of the way to have an amazing and stress-free wedding. They both went above and beyond running around the whole weekend handling all of the little details to provide a seamless experience for us and our guests, from giving golf cart rides between the reception and ceremony spaces to rolling out heaters after sundown.

So a big thank you to Jessie and Jonathan and definitely book Brother Ranch - the best venue in all of Monterey Bay for an amazing, beautiful, stress-free, and super fun wedding!

We could not have chosen a better venue for our wedding! The ceremony lawn is absolutely gorgeous, and it was surreal to be married surrounded by lush flowers and towering bamboo. The reception space is beautiful and modern looking with beautiful lighting and an abundance of plants that make the area feel so warm and inviting. During the event and well after, our guests were gushing over how unique and picturesque our venue was!

Our absolutely favorite part of the venue was working with Jonathan and Jessie! They are so down to earth, sweet and incredibly accommodating and felt like instant friends. If you are on the fence on hiring the Wedding Crashers, DO IT! They were a huge hit with our guests and now my husband and I are plotting ways to get some goats of our own!

10/10 Recommend having your wedding at The Brothers Ranch! You will have incredible pictures and beautiful memories that will last a lifetime!

The Brothers Ranch is undoubtedly a beautiful venue with affordable pricing (around $10k), and we were initially excited when we visited. However, our experience ultimately left us disheartened and disappointed.

When we toured the property, we met Jesse, one of the owners. She was generally courteous and answered our questions, though I was surprised by her very casual attire (shorts and a tank top) during what was, for us, a formal site visit. While I understand it was a hot day, it didn’t set a professional tone.

The major concern, however, was with the contract. I identified several contradictions that disproportionately favored the venue and offered little protection for us. We requested a phone call to discuss the terms in good faith, hoping to find common ground. On the call were my planner, my fiancé, Jesse, and her husband (the other owner). We had sent our notes in advance and wanted to walk through them together.

While Jesse remained polite throughout, her husband became defensive very quickly. With each contract point, his tone grew more hostile. At one point, he dismissed our concerns by claiming that “lawyers and judges in Santa Cruz have already reviewed this and said it was fine.” I let him know I’m a lawyer and found that claim questionable based on my experience with the local legal community. His response was shocking: “You're a red flag, and I’m sure there’s a perfect place out there for you—but this isn’t it.”

That comment felt personal and possibly discriminatory. I can’t say for certain whether it was because I’m a lawyer or a person of color, but it was deeply unsettling.

To make matters worse, they canceled the call just an hour before it was scheduled—seemingly in reaction to our feedback. Our planner had to convince them to reconsider. Even then, it was clear they had no intention of working with us in good faith.

While the property is lovely, a wedding is about more than aesthetics—it’s also about working with people who treat you with respect and professionalism. Unfortunately, we didn’t feel like valued clients, just a problem they wanted to avoid.

5 stars is not enough to express how incredible The Brothers Ranch was for a wedding venue on our big day. We fell in love with every aspect of the venue the first time we laid eyes on it. The bridal suite, grooms’ hangout space, the bamboo grove, and barn all add to the ambience that makes this place so special. The crown gem is the ceremony space decorated with a variety of beautiful tropical plants and other greenery. Jonathan and Jessie Brothers have truly poured their hearts into this venue and it is apparent the second you set foot on the property. More than that, they were extremely easy to work with; fast and clear communication, no hidden fees, flexible with individual design preferences, and on-site the day of the wedding to ensure everything moved along smoothly. If you’re having any doubts, go see it for yourself - you certainly will not regret it. Jonathan and Jessie, we can’t thank you enough for everything you did to make our day so special. I absolutely love the Brothers Ranch. I bought a horse from this lovely ranch and she is easily the best horse I have ever owned. She was so well started and of excellent quality. I haven't attended an event at this ranch but during my visit a few years ago the facility looked incredible. The Brothers Ranch definitely has that certain something, a sprinkle of magic.

my daughter got married there .It was so beautiful there with all the landscape the brides quarters the barn where the bar was at and pool table lounge area plus the owners were super friendly and helpful .all of the flowers and bamboo everywhere .plus it was away from the city it was like you were in heaven .they even had enough tables and chairs to accommodate the amount of people that were there.they even had a four wheel golf cart to bring people up and down the hill where the ceremony was at.It was a great experience one that I will never forget.
