Excellent bison burger and the bun was toasted to perfection! They also had ho.emade pickles o. The burger that tasted great. I also enjoyed the soup of the day...steak and mushrooms! The staff was very friendly and helpful with ideas for other things to do while in town. Restaurant was clean and so were the bathrooms. Highly recommend!

It was ok. Not great by any means. $8.25 for a burger and a small handful of fries, add $1.05 for a slice of cheese. $2.50 for a fountain drink.
The burger was lacking in seasoning and flavor.
The New York Strip Sandwich was $12.00 with grilled onions, swiss cheese, and a small handful of fries (pictured). The onions may have seen the grill, but to call them grilled is a bit of a stretch. The steak was 1/8 inch thick, maybe 4 to 5 inches in diameter, and was cooked to a well done, whereas cooking to a medium would have been preferred. The steak needed some kind of seasoning, salt, pepper, something. Even the fries needed salt, and as strange as this may sound, the french fries were the best part of the meal.
The reviews that stated there was a lot of steak on the sandwich was definitely misleading.
The Meatery has potential to become a great little restaurant. Ideal location on Sheridan Avenue (the main street through Cody), an awesome outside seating area, and a great little butcher shop on the premises.
All that needs to happen is to have the food in the restaurant live up to this opportunity.

My husband and I stumbled across The Meatery while looking for a place to eat during our stay in Cody. This is a local butcher/ farm to table eatery. You select the cut of meat you want and they will cook it for you. I had the NY strip which was tender, moist and delicious. My husband had the bison steak which after tasting his made me wish I had ordered that as well. The customer service was also exceptional.

Really friendly staff. Order as soon as you get in and sest yourself from there. Indoor and outdoor seating. The have a packaged meats to take home. Pulled bison sandwich was ok, the bun they used was too dry. The bbq sauce was really good, seemed smokey, probably paprika. The side pickle didn't taste like dill, more like black pepper and celery seeds. Really good serving size.

Amazing Delicious Perfectly prepared Bison! Thoroughly enjoy the pulled Bison sandwich, side of fresh Carrot Cumin soup , and homemade pickles! The Bison was cooked to perfection, perfectly shredded, and beyond tender and juicy. This is a gem of a location to dine indoors or out. We chose to dine out and enjoy the Deer as the arrived to dine on surrounding gardens. Friendly staff and great service! Highly recommend this restaurant and to support Local .

Stopped by in early March 2021 and ordered the Double Bacon Cheeseburger. Had my choice of five cheeses including Gouda and peppered bacon. This was a fantastic burger! 😃 Thick, juicy, slabs of beefy heaven. The fries were perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly right with just a little bit of crunch on the outside. I travel all over the United States for my business (I always look for the best burger) and I can say that this easily ranks in my top 10 burgers ever. 👌 Highly recommended! Six Stars! You won't regret this stop.

Absolutely loved it! The staff was wonderful and friendly and incredibly patient as we ordered for our party of 8. The portion sizes are more than enough including the kids portions which tend to be skimpy at other places.

The best place in town to get a real burger or bison burger. The fries where so good you didn't even need any ketchup with them! If this place hasn't had a TV review it should get one.
