Oh my days, i cannot praise this diner high enough. The waitress yesterday morning, I didn't catch her name, but she was absolutely darling! My daughter and I were having a bit of a rough morning due to roads being closed and road work but we wanted to try something new and stumbled on in. The decorations inside felt very homey to me. Cozy. Very clean inside. Delicious coffee. I don't remember the name of the dish I ordered (will include in photos) but everything was cooked perfectly and very delicious. My little got the French toast (no maple syrup was easy to ask for as she has sensitivities) with a side of bacon. Everything was just wonderful! At the end of our visit, I feel that going the extra mile to get here is very worth it. We are already planning another trip!!!

This place took me back to my tiny town starvally wy.The food was so delicuse ranch was the bomb they kept my coffee full grate price my new favorite place (not a gas station or afieleated with it only shares bathroom ) whome ever the cook was is a grate cook 😋 and the servers do a grate job friendly proficient and verry attentive

Okay in a pinch. Definitely better options. My sister had chicken tenders, they came out after the rest of our food but were raw in the middle. They made her another batch and those were also raw in the middle. I had breakfast (biscuits and gravy) and they were pretty decent. So definitely a mixed bag.

Fantastic family style restaurant with a very attentive wait staff. I stopped in on a Saturday morning and was readily welcomed to seat myself. I was highly appreciative of my coffee cup being regularly refilled. The steak and eggs were prepared well and at a reasonable price. French toast was good, but average. This was my first time here but it’s getting added to my list of regular spots to stop as a trucker who likes getting out of the cab and sitting down for a meal.

We have been living on the island of Maui for 19 years. One of the things we missed is truck stop Cafes. This place has excellent food. The portions are very large and shareable if need be. It is super affordable and the staff are the nicest people. Great customer service. Can't wait to go back.

I absolutely love Down Home Diner. I have been going in there for 30+ years at least. Before I retired, I was an OTR truck driver, and if I was going thru Cheyenne, this was my go-to, even if just for pie and coffee. I lived there for a while and tried to eat there at least once a month. I now live two states away but have a nephew who lives there with his family. Every time I come to visit, you guessed it. This is where I get our food from. I love that there's still a place where you can get good old stick to your ribs food. And prices are pretty decent. I love that I can get all of my favorites there from grits in the morning(no butter please) to liver in the evening and if I'm lucky can sneak in there still for pie and coffee in between. The wait staff is always n ice and personable, just like the truck stops used to be that have been swallowed up by the conglomerates. I just love a good a good old down home diner. Wish there were more of them around the whole country like there used to be. Keep up the good work!!

• The quality of the food may be considered average when taking into account the price point. However, it must be noted that the value for money is commendable, as I left the establishment feeling satisfied without having to spend a significant amount.
• Despite the low customer volume, with only five occupied tables and a total of nine patrons, the service experienced a delay of 20 minutes before our order was taken. Subsequently, the food was promptly delivered, and the server consistently checked on our table while attending to other guests and accommodating new arrivals.
• The ambiance of the restaurant can be described as clean, welcoming, and cozy.

I ordered the green chili fries as an appetizer. The green chili (also known as chicken Verde) made the fries very soggy and tasted quite plain and bland. After adding a generous amount of salt and pepper, they improved in flavor.

For my entrée, I had the country fried steak, hash browns, and two over-easy eggs. The breakfast country gravy appeared to be a standard product from a food company like Sysco, without any attempts to customize it for a homemade feel. The steak also seemed to be a pre-made product. While the breading was crispy and flavorful, the meat itself was very thin, which contributed to the overall crispiness but left me wanting more meat. The hash browns were typical diner fare. Unfortunately, my over-easy eggs were overcooked.
