The floor was dirty upon arrival. Asked to have it cleaned, was told "OK" - didn't happen. Borrowed mop and spray. Did it myself. Lipstick on towels. Hair in bathtub and shower. No hand wipes/gel in gym. Worst of all, incredibly loud vacuums (two!) in the hall during the mid day - when I was sleeping (working nights). Opened the door and called out to workers - Excuse me..." at least 3 or 4 times, each time a little louder. They didn't react. Saw cord lying in front of my door - shook it a bit to get their attention, cord fell out of socket, inadvertently. They took out their earplugs! and were upset "We're just doing our jobs" - but I have to sleep in order to do mine. Very awkward. Then maybe 5-10 minutes later, loud knocking on door. Wasn't sure what it was. A few moments later VERY LOUD BANGING ON DOOR - despite the "do not disturb" sign hanging there. Seems manager insists on giving me a talking too. Very aggressive/angry. Could absolutely care less about me as a guest. I thought they would tell me I had to leave. Horrible stay, I would never go back!!

Was disappointed that the pool was closed for maintenance with no warning or explanation. Was pricey for the inability to use the pool. It was a friends getaway and we had to go find alternatives rather than being able to use the pool. The hotel had a musty odor to it and there were tiny black bugs in the bathroom (I think this has to do with unregulated moisture). The beds were comfy, the rooms were clean despite the bathroom bugs, and the breakfast was decent for such a small hotel. Easy to get in and out of and ample parking. Staff was polite.

I was in town for work. Decided to stay here vs other hotels I've tried in the past. Very helpful, friendly staff. Exceptionally clean rooms, with comfortable beds. I was in room 100, which is all by itself. No noisy neighbors with doors slamming in the middle of the night. I will definitely stay here in the future.

1st let me say, the staff was great, very friendly and helpful. IN that area they really did a great job.
but, the room itsellf was not all that clean, the shower floor was dirty and there was hair in it and stuck to the wall .
There were no mattress encasements, only a thin pad under the sheet. The Duvet smelled like a sweaty sock, after inspecting it, It was stained and crusty at the edge where our faces would have been. (staff was great and immediately brought us a clean one), but this NEVER should have passed the HK inspections.
They only had 2 towels in the bathroom for a 4 night stay. When we asked for more, we were told to go and get them from the pool area. ( )Each time I needed something no one answered the phone, so, I had to go down to the desk and wait for staff to come out.

The fridge has something spilled and left in it,so clearly this room was not cleaned or stocked properly. The microwave had not been wiped out either.

WE ended up leaving early and finding a different hotel.. Very disappointing as someone who works in the industry.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The property - includeing the rooms - is very clean. Beds are comfortable and loved the regular size comfortable pillows. Staff are courteous and helpful! Breakfast is more than enough and very good. For those interested in the casino, it is within walking distance from the hotel. Highly recommend this location.

Taking care of a guest for one night is pretty simple, but taking care of a guest for multiple nights takes true customer service.

First- the room was not clean. There appeared to be smeared blood (I hope it wasn’t) on the wall by the toilet. When they came in to clean our room, you could tell not much was done by the garbage still left on the floor from when we first got there. The bottom of the shower door had some sort of black stuff on it.

I don’t think the elevator was ever cleaned during the multiple days we were there. The walls were constantly smudged and the floors needed a good sweep and mop.

The staff treated us like an inconvenience. Several times I had to speak quite loudly to get someone’s attention at the front desk.

Lastly, one of the supervisors performed an interview in the main lobby area. Unfortunately I had to hear about the drama that is happening with the staff and some other things. I would highly recommend not to perform interviews within the public area.

Overall- I would not stay here again. There are other options in Clinton that provide great and clean service.

Your staff was exceptional. The new chair in the room is NOT comfortable at all, other than that, it was perfect and we enjoyed our stay very much.
We went down to LeClaire and then over to Cedar Rapids and then back to the hotel. Stayed 2 days.

Throughout years of road tripping and hotel stays I have come to respect the consistency and quality of Hampton Inn hotels. ||To start with the positives: The hotel had been recently refreshed (hallways, lobby spaces, rooms), and the employees were professional and friendly, especially Jackie. Hilton Honors members like ourselves got our water(s) and snack. Rooms were relatively clean and lots of amenities (pool and exercise center) are available. ||The negatives: The room had a "earthy" smell and was musty; it seemed as if the AC unit couldn't keep up. The shower doors were incredibly difficult to move; an odd critique, but one worth mentioning due to how oddly hard it was. The breakfast was meager in comparison to other Hampton properties and the milk cartons were clearly spoiled. Cleanliness could use a tad bit of work as well. ||Overall, this property is probably one of the nicest in town, and while we don't encounter any huge problems during our stay, it didn't fully live up to the Hampton standards that we were used too.
