This place is fantastic! Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic Nauvoo experience. The rooms are well decorated with historical artefacts. Staying here makes the Nauvoo experience just so much more memorable. Great hosts and great service. What a treat.

Willard Richards was a friend to Joseph Smith and one of the four brethren falsely imprisoned at Carthage Jail when Joseph and Hyrum were martyred. I've stayed in this historic home several times. It was built in the early 1800's and is in spectacular condition! So beautiful, and right there in the old town of Nauvoo. You can walk to all of the attractions from this home. The hostess, Laura, is very knowledgeable of not only the house's history, but that of the town as well. Exceptional experience here; I will return every time I come to visit Nauvoo! Thank you!

We spent three nights at the Willard Rchards Inn this week. We had a wonderful experience! This inn is a part of historic Nauvoo. We loved our room and the detached bathroom. ( It added to the ambiance.) The breakfasts were amazing every morning. The innkeeper did a wonderful job and shared with us the special history of the home. She did lots of little things for us to make our stay even better.

This was the most amazing place to stay for our visit to Nauvoo. My family rented out the place, and it was the best decision we made for our trip. Since we visited in April where not everything is open all the time, it was incredibly convenient that breakfast was provided each morning. The rooms are cozy, and the bathrooms are spacious. Every room has its own bathroom! The location to the Nauvoo temple and historic Nauvoo cannot be beat. You are staying in the thick of it. Aside from the beautiful history of the home (which is amazing in itself), the rooms are very comfortable. There are pull down shades on the windows, lots of outlets, and even though it is a very old home, it was airy and smelled great (which one of us was worried about). Plenty of parking for rental cars. The property and house is very well kept up. Our hosts were so wonderful. So easy going, friendly and kind. The breakfasts were all delicious!!!! I don’t think I can stay anywhere else when I go back. Thanks Willard Richards Inn for a magical time.

This inn has the potential to be a lovely place with its period rooms, however it needs a good cleaning. It’s covered with cobwebs on the outside and the carpets are visibly dirty on the inside. It’s in a great location in the historic part of Nauvoo and it has comfortable beds and good hot showers. Fresh paint on the outside and carpet cleaning on the inside would make a big difference.

The host and her husband were awesome! They were super accommodating and really wanted to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We had a great stay here and the breakfast was great! Also the location is pretty darn convenient.

We were excited to stay in Willard Richard's home, but we couldn't have imagined it would be as great as it turned out to be. The home is great. It is very much a living museum with period furniture and decor. The hostess is amazing and makes everyone feel at home. She makes the guests all feel at home and welcome and invites all to sit around the parlor as she shares stores of the city and home. Breakfast was great both days. Not the best place for families but for my wife and I it was perfect!

Such a charming historical B&B. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean & peaceful. The breakfasts were amazing. The sweetest young couple were conscientious, thoughtful & caring. They gave us a full tour of this building and it’s historical significance. I was very pleased with my choice to stay here and will choose it again when in Nauvoo.
