It's my first time here, but after checking out brunch spots in the Orland Park / Tinley Park region, this spot appeared on Google Maps a few times with high reviews.

I liked it for a few reasons - the join the waitlist was very helpful for Sunday brunch. After a 30-minute drive, we literally walked in 1 minute before our table was ready.

I don't know if this is a "sister" location, but the menu reminds me of The White Sheep in Orland Park - this is a "plus"! Coffee, juice and pastries were plenty. The service is really quick and the bathrooms are clean.

My husband really enjoyed his steak sandwich. It featured house garlic bread, tenderloin steak, sweet peppers & bearnaise sauce. I loved the Créme Brûlée doughnut. It actually cracked when you put a knife through it.

For my breakfast entree, I had the brisket hash bowl, which included brisket, bacon, red pepper, yellow squash, onion, pepper jack cheese, house roasted potatoes, maple bbq sauce, Jack Daniel's aioli, and scrambled eggs. I really wanted to enjoy this, but I didn't. It was mostly because I was expecting the brisket to be like BBQ brisket, and it was more like corn beef brisket. Also there's BBQ sauce on this as well as eggs... Not the best combination.

I would go this place again, but I would choice a different meal.

Beautiful breakfast spot! When someone suggested we go here, I thought the name “Darlene’s” sounded a bit old fashioned, but I was quite surprised to walk into a bright and modern restaurant. It truly is so beautiful inside, lots of natural light, a tree in the center, and very tasteful decor and design.

We ordered two bowls, which are essentially skillets. We had the veggie bowl and the skillet bowl. They were perfect! The flavors were so delicious together and the quantity was huge, enough for a second portion. While the bowl was delicious, unfortunately the pancakes fell short. They were large but flavorless and dry. I rarely leave food uneaten or taken home, but we left about half of the pancakes that were served to us. With the bowls, you have the option of toast, pancakes, or a donut for $1 more. Next time, I think will opt for the toast or donut.

We also ordered coffees, they were also great! We had the tiramisu and butter cookie iced espresso drinks.

I look forward to returning, we really enjoyed our time at Darlene’s!

I’ve been to this restaurant when it was the Black Sheep (I think that’s what it was), then the Sheep District, and now Darlene’s, and I have to say, the service has improved drastically. Despite it being a busy Saturday morning, we were attended to with really quick and friendly service. Our hot drinks were as lovely to taste as they were to look at, and everyone was impressed. The French toast was amazing, and the waitress suggested toppings I didn’t even realize I needed…turns out, she was right! While the prices are a bit higher, the generous portions more than make up for it, leaving plenty of leftovers. The bacon was cooked to perfection as well. The high rating is totally justified. This is one you don’t want to miss out on!

Loved it! Everything was great! Our waitress, Peyton, was the best. The specialty coffee drinks and brunch were delicious. Everyone left happy😊. This was our 3rd visit.

Excellent. Bright and modern. Casual. Very attentive staff. Super tasty coffee. Large portions. I had a Breakfast Old Fashioned which was perfect for a beverage. I also ordered a cinnamon pecan donut (amazing) and the Birria-quilles (amazing and unique).
Creative and varied menu. If you are a fan of breakfast - give them a try

Brunch here offers a delightful dining experience that’s hard to beat. The service was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and efficient. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome, and the ability to join the waitlist prior to arrival added a seamless convenience to our meal.

The ambiance was perfect, striking just the right balance between sophistication and comfort. Whether you’re there for a brunch date or a casual gathering, the setting makes for a memorable meal.

The drinks were nothing short of stellar. Thoughtfully crafted and beautifully presented, each sip felt like a small celebration.

As for the food, the chef clearly put a lot of thought into the menu. The creative options were intriguing and visually appealing on paper, and while the execution was very good, I wasn’t completely wowed by the flavors. That said, the dishes arrived quickly, and everything was fresh and beautifully plated, most definitely photo opp worthy, making it a great overall dining experience.

This is definitely a spot worth visiting for the exceptional service, drinks, and atmosphere, even if the food leaves you slightly short of amazed. I will be back and would recommend you visit too.

I had the Brisket House Bowl and a Hot Tiramisu Latte, and both were absolutely amazing! The flavors were rich and well-balanced, and I could really taste the quality of the ingredients. I also loved that everything was made from scratch—it made the meal feel even more special. The service was great, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Definitely a place I’d love to come back to!
