I had a breakfast burrito and fresh fruit, the burrito was very boring! It was just ham and cheese, nothing else. They asked if I wanted salsa and they gave me something in a little packet. The fruit was half frozen. Not the most enjoyable experience. The atmosphere, however, is quite nice.

A great place for a quick bite. Basically a glorified coffee shop, but the staff were kind and efficient. We went on a weekend and the service was quick and excellent. Prices were very reasonable and the food and drinks came quick. Sandwiches were fresh and tasted amazing. Coffee and tea were excellent. As a hot coco lover I was happy to get a large hot chocolate.

Very nice! First time here and am wondering why. Service with smiles, great food, great beverages, clean, spacious, well decorated, lots of electrical outlets throughout and lots of natural light. Just finished a breakfast burrito and find myself not wanting to leave. Bravo

The redesigned Cubby Café inside the Hotel Captain Cook is fantastic! Spacious, modern, and lots of natural light in this expanded space on the ground floor of the Hotel. There’s even a large conference table for those offsite coffee meetings with coworkers. The baristas make excellent drinks (and always piping hot) and there’s a growing variety of food options too. Highly recommend a visit whether you’re staying at the Hotel or not.

The Cubby is a great place to relax with your coffee and snack while enjoying the comfortable furniture and street views. The Cubby is located in the Captain Cook Hotel near the elevators. If you're boarding a bus then you should consider taking a coffee and cookie along with you. I will caution you that if The Cubby is busy it could take a while because there is only one employee and checkout. Give yourself some time should you arrive during a rush.

I come up to Anchorage often for work, stay down town. I normally peruse to Hotel Captain Cook from neighboring hotel and really enjoy their North Slope Breakfast burrito. It is pre made, they will warm it up for you and with a cup of coffee, by far the most affordable and tasty breakfast you can get in the down town area. The staff is always friendly. They have copies of the local newspaper for you to read, very clean eating area. I am a big fan. Keep up the great work The Cubby!

I'm really kind of bummed. I was super excited to try the blue drink that was an energy drink. I didn't mind paying over $5.00 for it, but I watched as it was being made. The barista made the flavors and filled the cup with ice. She poured the drink in and when she couldn't get it all it, then took the cup and dumped out the top part of the drink versus taking some ice out. I was literally perplexed as to why she wouldn't take out some ice, but literally flicked the cup with drink into the sink and wasted so much of it, I decided I probably would buy those again for the cost. It seemed like an impulsive thing to do and was a reaction, but unfortunately, it was a costly one in these times. Especially for such an upscale place.
