Location and staff are fantastic. For the price I’d expect a cleaner more modern room. Ours had chairs with flaking fake leather, we had to call to the front desk to get the room to an ok temp (over 78 at one point with cooling set to 68) and the mini fridge looked like it came from a dorm as an afterthought. Great proximity to museums and restaurants however and fantastic staff

Great location. It's close to many things and very walkable to many things as well.
Check in was easy wasn't that busy when we arrived. Hotel is bigger than it looks from the outside. It's an older hotel. Was on the 20th floor, no view other than the other rooms across from our room. Room is small but did have 2 chairs which was good. Disappointed in the bathroom. I wanted a walk in shower and when I did request it they did not have one available. Shower curtain had some type of booger on it, disgusting. I don't like those cloth shower curtains. But room was clean. We didn't get towels the next night but it was a pain to get help. We told the front desk but they never brought them. Had to use a small hand towel to dry off that night.
The first night the room was very hot, I had to open the windows to keep it cool!! And I had the air on 65 degrees which is the lowest it would go. Luckily it was cold outside so it was cool with the windows open. I was there for 5 nights. The second night, the room temperature was fine without the windows.
Had a Irish bar in the hotel, which was nice with good drinks.
Overall decent hotel. Great location. Not sure I'd stay again though.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Chicago, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the warm and professional staff greeted me, ensuring a smooth check-in process. The accommodations were nothing short of exceptional. My room was impeccably clean, spacious, and well-appointed, offering stunning views of the city skyline. The bed was incredibly comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep after a long day of meetings.

The amenities at the Hilton Chicago are outstanding. I particularly enjoyed the fitness center, which is well-equipped and maintained. Additionally, the on-site dining options provided a delightful culinary experience, showcasing a range of delicious dishes that cater to diverse tastes.

The hotel's prime location made it convenient for exploring the vibrant city of Chicago, with numerous attractions within walking distance.

Overall, my experience at the Hilton Chicago was remarkable, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking comfort, luxury, and impeccable service. I look forward to my next visit!

I had the pleasure of visiting this hotel for a corporate event both as accomodation and event site. Here's my honest review.

Pros:

- The staff is amazing. Very forthcoming, supportive and courteous. I have zero complaints and had a great time interacting with them. Best in class.

- The location of the venue can hardly be more central to Chicago.

- Accommodations like a pool & gym were alright. Both of which were offered to me complimentary though.
- Classic architecture and interior. Beautiful to look at.

- The rooms are reasonably equipped, relatively clean and the beds are quite comfortable.

Cons:

- Brutally complicated and convoluted, almost labyrinth-like layout of the rooms, stairs, elevators and halls, especially when navigating between different meeting rooms. It's easy to get lost and it is difficult to find specific rooms without referring to the albeit always helpful staff.

- Some areas or parts of the interior have come into age, but not in a charming way. Somewhat jarring at times. Most prominent with facilities like sanitary, electrical, heating and air conditioning. The audio equipment varies greatly, some are very modern and high-end, others the complete opposite.

- The windows, and this may be an American thing, I am unsure, are flimsy. They do not isolate at all. Unless the heating is on, the room will cool out extremely quickly, since the windows aren't insulated much and let through a considerable amount of draft (of which there is lots in Chicago)

- Lackluster air conditioning within the meeting rooms. During my company's usage of their meeting facilities the aircon was consistently too cold. Almost sort of frosty, very unpleasant.

- Lackluster air conditioning within the rooms. Despite on high heat setting (80°F/25°C) to combat the cold, it takes very long to warm up, and feels like it just stops working at for random periods.

- The food was barely mediocre at best.

- (My biggest critique:) Deafening noise levels within the rooms at all times. I was relocated once on my request due to this issue. Was moved to a larger premium suite with lake view, no change. Consistent and VERY unpleasant, distracting white noise coming from the piping despite air conditioning off. With aircon on, the noise triples and is enough to keep you up at night. Squeaky fans and all. Not coupled well with the lacking insulation, hence one can prepare for cold nights.

All in all it is a beautiful venue with fantastic staff & a good location but is in dire need of renovation on a lot of fronts. I suppose since the building is as old and massive as it is, this is not likely to happen any time in the future.

I'm still grateful for having gotten the opportunity to be their guest however.

Incredible history and decor are dotted throughout this hotel. The rooms are spacious and tidy, with extremely comfortable pillows. This location is close to the heart of everything. There's an Irish Pub which is great if you're staying during the week and need to grab dinner. Several movies and TV shows have also filmed here, which is a cool tidbit.

Had a great stay at this hotel St. Patrick's Day weekend. Amenities at this hotel are as advertised. Very large, busy hotel that's centrally located - no complaints. Would recommend and return!

Big John was the highlight of our comings and goings. He offered many suggestions and always a warm greeting.

Nice location close to soldier field and across from the park. Staff was good, this is a historic hotel and is very old. Rooms can use to be updated, but the beds are comfortable and you can rest here.

Stayed here to attend a local convention. There was a mixup when I upgraded the room, and I didn't get what I was expecting, but Stephen sorted every thing out to my satisfaction. The room is one of the nicer ones I have stayed in Chicago. Beds are comfortable.
