Yellow Bird Coffee House is a gem in Downtown Springfield! First and foremost, the coffee is top notch!!! Smooth, delicious and so many different options. The homemade cinnamon rolls are fresh, full of flavor and HUGE! But, they have so many good food options that you can't just try the rolls! I had the ham and cheese quiche and it was warm, fluffy and just as delicious as everything else I've had there.
Last, but certainly not least, the vibe of the coffee shop is everything! Vintage decor, chill music, and friendly staff make this a perfect place to hang out with friends or sit work for a bit.
You will not be disappointed!!

Cozy, bijou coffee shop near the hospital. We took our order to go as the location was full of variety of folks. The cappuccino was excellent! The cortado was ook. I imagine the cinnamon rolls when they're straight out of the oven are divine as they were still good cold.

I would highly recommend Yellow Bird Coffee House. We were hosting a last-minute engagement celebration and they were so helpful. We were able to put in a last-minute order for their delicious cinnamon rolls. The owner opened his business a half an hour early to pick them up in time for the party. We also ordered one of their delicious, gluten friendly quiche, it’s a must if you love quiche.

July 26, 2024 - 4.7 🌟I discovered the Yellow Bird Coffee House hidden just north of Memorial/SIU Medical Complex. It was quite a find. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The service was superb and the coffee was very good. It was a pleasant experience.

I had a macchiato with an extra shot and a slice of bacon cheddar quiche. The macchiato was robust and full bodied. The quiche was flavorful and moist inside. The top was too dark and a little hard. I picked up an Americano for the road. It was good, but not the level of the macchiato. The Americano had a slight metallic taste.

I liked this place well enough to stop in my next visit to Springfield. It is the type of enterprise I like to patronize—local and unique.

This quaint coffee shop near the SIU Med Campus is an absolute gem. The ambiance is cool and inviting, making it a perfect spot to unwind. The staff is incredibly nice, adding a personal touch to the experience. The coffee quality is exceptional, definitely a must-try for any coffee lover. Quaint!! Cute!! Cozy!! Kindness!! The owners walk around and check in with customers; they are super warm and welcoming. The cinnamon rolls are amazing. Note— it is a small space with limited seating, which keeps it cozy. There is outdoor seating as well on first street in front of the shop. Love stopping in!!

Scone was good, but a bit dry and slightly burnt tasting.
Cortado was crafted well, would order again. The latte art was a cute touch. Parking is a bit awkward, but there's a decent amount of street parking available. The seats were plus size friendly and comfortable.
Staff were friendly and accommodating. They seemed to enjoy their workplace and they weren't disruptive to the atmosphere. They were respectful.
Atmosphere was chill.
