One of the most beautiful shrines in the United States of America!

If you’ve ever had the opportunity to tour the various churches and basilicas in Rome, this national shrine will remind you of those grand structures. There are plenty of side chapels for quiet prayer and meditation but the best part of this location is the five foot tall monstrance that exposes the Blessed Sacrament.

Some of my favorite parts of the shrine were the glass cases on the walls that were filled with first-class relics. Seriously one of the most beautiful places that I’ve ever had the opportunity to visit.

Great place, beautiful church! Made it just in time for 1st Saturday. The organ music was gorgeous and the side chapels are enough to knock your socks off. Tons of relics! The Monstrance was awe inspiring and they have 24/7 adoration. There is a holocaust museum in the basement and a gift shop with lovely items for sale. I got my 100% beeswax candles for 5.99 a piece and was able to get them blessed! Finally candles for the 3 days of darkness lol bought a beautiful rosary and a childrens bible. They werent ridiculously priced like some places. The statuary and crucifix werent cheap but they never are. Me and my friend were able to walk through their Rosary grotto and pray, but we didnt do the stations of the cross like we wanted to.

This shrine is breathtaking, beautiful, and full of interesting relics and artwork. There are places to pray and reflect inside and outside. Outside they have Stations of the Cross, Rosary walk, and Infant of Prague statue. Inside main level is the church, side chapels, conference center, and the gift shop. They have perpetual Eucharistic Adoration which is a huge plus. Downstairs they have a unique collection of religious order dolls and an excellent exhibit on the holocaust and St. Maximilian Kolbe's life which includes a replica of his prison cell and an authentic first class relic. Since St. Maximilian Kolbe, like many of those killed in the holocaust, were burned after death, having a first class relic of him is very rare. This might be the only first class relic of him in the United States.
