The worst hotel, the air conditioning never worked, the sheets were old, stained and with cigarette burns. The room reeks of cigarettes. I do not recommend it.

Very decent place to be. The owners are the kindest, sweetest, very honest and fair people. They will go out of there way for you to make your stay nice. I overpayed and she brought me what I over payed. I honestly would rather be here than motel 6 or days inn and pay an extra 150. They talk to you like family here. Highly recommended. We checked the beds and shower curtains. No signs of bed bugs.

The heater was super loud and didnt heat well, I'm glad I brought my own blankets and pillows because I need big squishy ones, but the owners were amazing and warm during a hard time in my life. I can't say enough nice things about them.

This motel is a poor excuse for a business. The whole building is infested bad with cockroaches and bed bugs. When we rented the room by the week. There was blood on the bathroom floor, walls and ceiling. The heater/ Ac is so freaking loud it gave us a headache. They refused to fix it. They also wouldn't wash the sheets or blankets with out any extra money? This Hindu family is quite discusting!And Very Rude! I consider this a slum Lord! I suggest go anywhere else except Effingham motel!

They offer Uhaul services and have been good to work with! I've rented Uhauls from the Effingham location multiple times over the last 10 yrs.

The usual 50's motor lodge. Utilitarian at best. $165/week. Other than the price, not much good to say about this place. It does have micro/fridge in every room. No wi-fi available. Furnishings in poor condition. Lukewarm water at best, sometimes all you get is cold water in the shower. No laundry facilities onsite, but a public laundry about two blocks up the road. Smoking rooms available.
Geared more toward long term tenancy, but cheap enough to be good for a one night stopover for those budget-oriented and don't mind staying in squalid conditions.
Only stayed for about a month, but its quite apparent via dialogue through thin walls that drug dealers and users frequent this place for residency. Effingham police department were onsite arresting tenants at least every weekend for fighting. One particularly busy night someone was hurling beer bottles at another guest in the parking lot. So yeah, light sleepers wont get any sleep.
Well, if you have some cash in your wallet it is slightly better than sleeping in your car, I guess.

No soap to speak of in room. Dirty. Stained sheets. Ants in and on sink. Horrendously loud AC unit. Still scratching my bed bug bites. Never, ever, again.
