They don’t call it a Chicago classic for nothing. Incredible variety in the menu and quality in every option available. The Italian beef sandwich was delicious as well as the famous chocolate cake shake. Atmosphere is vibrant and locally themed. Will be stopping by on every road trip through Illinois.

Portillo's historically has had really good French fries, however, as of late, their salt to french fry ratio has been off. It took a lot of time for our food, but you could see that no one was standing around. Even though it wasn't busy on the inside, it was clear that there were orders coming in from other sources. The restaurant was clean and the team was friendly.

The food was just OK. It's been a while since I've had Portillo's.
It's extremely pricey for subpar food. My order total was $40.10 for a large size Italian meal and single cheeseburger meal with a Strawberry lemonade shake. It was extremely difficult to appreciate the shake. The lemon pieces of cake coming through the straw overpowered the strawberry flavor of the shake and it was $6.99!!!!! Really disappointed.
The attendants taking and presenting the orders were pleasant.

My hot dog was cold. My companion had a cheeseburger plain and it came with onions and everything else. Also I don't know how but the fries were cool

Good location, fast service. Great tasting food. I think some of the items are a little pricey, but the food is very good, very clean establishment. Everyone seems to work hard, and they look pretty happy. Very good music selection playing.

Stopped here because it was close off the highway and we wanted italian beef. We were very pleasantly surprised with courteous and thoughtful staff to go along with the great food.

Great to see families and teens hanging out someplace like this on a Saturday night.
