literally my favorite place to go in sycamore. GET THE HOT TURKEY SANDWICH. Very cozy atmosphere, and the staff have always been very nice to me : )

Been before and enjoyed it. Service was over the top this visit. Had the seafood platter this time. Shrimp, perch and haddock deep fried. The coating was tasty and crisp but they were all over cooked bordering on burnt.

I have dined at Parkway Restaurant on numerous occasions and the food has been good to great but what really stands out is the service. Shayla has always been my waitress and has been very welcoming, friendly, compassionate, and just an absolute pleasure that made the dining experience here more than amazing every single time! Shayla's customer service skills are second to none. I will be back! Thank you Parkway for having such an excellent and attentive wait staff!

We have been frequent patrons of Parkway for many years. I wanted to shout out and commend Shayla. She always goes out of her way to spoil my girls and make them feel very special. She always has smile on her face. We love going to Parkway and having her be our sever. The food is always excellent, and so is the service!

We went out to eat on my birthday to this place and we were a bit late getting there. It was probably 15 minutes after 8 PM and they close at 9 PM. We had all intentions on being out of there by 9 PM, but our waitress forgot to put in one of our group’s steak orders. All of the other steaks were really overdone and not seasoned at all. The kids said the cream of broccoli soup was really good. Maybe if they weren’t feeling rushed at the end of the night, the food would have been better, but it was not a great experience and I definitely would not go back there for my birthday. I’ll bet they have great breakfast, small places like this usually do. For as much as we spent for not-so-good steaks, we probably should’ve went to the nicer restaurant down the road and paid just a little bit more to have our steaks the way we wanted to have them.

I’ve been a regular patron of Parkway Restaurant for some time, but WOW recent experiences have been disappointing, to say the least. One particular waitress, Shayla, has exhibited extremely unprofessional behavior. She openly speaks negatively about customers—often within earshot—and even directly in front of them. This is not only disrespectful but completely unacceptable in a service-oriented establishment.

What’s equally troubling is that management appears uninterested in addressing this behavior. It’s disappointing to see how far this restaurant has fallen from its previous standards. The lack of professionalism and common courtesy among the waitstaff is glaring.

Being in the service industry my ENTIRE LIFE requires a level of respect and care for customers, but instead, this particular waitress seems to carry an unwarranted sense of entitlement. Not sure why. This is not what I expect from a place I’ve frequented so often. She would never survive in Las Vegas, management would never tolerate this type of behavior.

Until there is a clear effort to improve staff behavior and restore the welcoming environment Parkway was once known for, I cannot recommend dining here. What a shame because the food is great and this place used to be great and our family loved eating here and my family has helped her and many of the waitresses financially outside of tipping for their service as well. Its truly sad.
