I enjoyed my stay. Went for business for 3 wks. So this was home away from home for a little while. Working everyday and coming back to relax was a must for a Hot bath. Hot water could definitely be hotter but wasn't enough to not give a great rating. Easy access to my room. Very roomy and comfy. Thank you so much!

The room and beds were very comfortable. I highly recommend!! The room was quiet and clean. I will be back the next time I need a place to stay in Shelbyville. The self check-in and check-out is very convenient and user friendly. The staff that I saw were very helpful and friendly.

The room was exceptionally clean. We came in to a light and TV on so just like coming home. Bed were comfortable and even the bedding smelled clean and fresh. There was a code box on door so no keys or cards to lose and could make reservations by phone so mo need to go to the lobby yet they stsyed in touch ɓy text with you all the way plus you could call and talk with someone. I would stay again and highly recommend the Shelby Inn.

I was with my family in my tractor-trailer semi. I need a place to park. I was able to park my tractor trailer. I stayed in the two King room and had street view I really felt like I was apart of the neighborhood not at some industrial area commercial franchise hotels. I enjoyed feelling the Shelbyville experience . Staff is so friendly accommodating and even gave me a late check out so I was able to get everything done I needed to in the morning before my pickup. Clean comfy and close to everything It's the Best that Shelbyville has to offer hands down 5star I would give 10 stars if I could.

Room was very large, must larger than I had expected actually which was perfect. Balcony, Room, Sheets & Towels were all very clean. Bathroom has a large shower and mirror as well as coffee maker + there’s plenty of space to hang clothes & store them with the wardrobe and closet. Not far from the lake either, as well as shops & restaurants. All and all a very nice place to stay.

I don't like writing bad reviews, but this was not an enjoyable stay. I stayed here for a few days a year ago, and it was fine then. This year, not so much. |The lobby is now "virtual," but finding someone by phone is not difficult. |The room had an odd smell. A wasp flying around the room upon arrival was dealt with by a friendly staff member. Though fruit flies harassed me in the room, I killed at least 20 during my three days. The WiFi is very slow, which was unsuitable for my work, requiring hot-spotting to my phone. Also, the WiFi censors certain websites it must deem "not family friendly." The same sites work via cell connection; I have a problem with a business filtering the content. The desk is too small, and there are too few places to hang towels. There's no security latch on the inside of the door, which goes to the outside - which is not ideal. |Note that there is no food/ breakfast available, so plan accordingly to stock your mini-fridge or visit McDonalds. |The AC on high was quite loud and didn't manage the humidity while on low, and the toilet seat was cracked. I had to call to get a final receipt; this should be automatic. I was asked about my stay via text and conveyed the above, but I received no response. So, maybe nobody saw it—or it was a casualty of being "virtually" managed. I'll seek other options next time I visit. I noticed some AirB&B options in town that could be considered at a similar price.|This hotel may be good for some people, but I don't recommend it for those on a business trip.

I was disappointed after staying here. The carpet was old and looked soiled. The room was no better than that of a motel, and the phone did not work. Light fixtures had not been dusted, and the bathroom electrical outlet was jutting away from the wall! The beds were very comfortable and well-appointed. I contacted management, and the person apologized for my experience, explaining that they were renovating. When renovating, do NOT rent dysfunctional and low-quality rooms to make a buck, especially if guests are paying a lot! The manager had the audacity to tell me she hoped that we would give it another try after renovation was completed. Seriously

Great little Inn. Clean and well attended. Beds were wonderful. (Firm but soft). A very good nite’s sleep. Fun town. Excellent Mexican Restaurant in town. And Joes Pizza too plus diner for breakfast! Near to Lake Shelbyville and campgrounds.
